For example
I prefer Megaman over Rockman. Sure it doesn’t make sense with Roll and Bass, but it makes him standout over the robot bosses named after things.
Pokémon names, in English.
I haven’t watched sailor moon in years so they’re still Serena and tuxedo mask to me.
I catch myself saying Tien instead of Ten Shin Han a lot.
I’m surprised everyone will call all sentai rangers, but will never call Kamen rider Masked Rider

Dr Robotnik, although I still like Eggman as a Sonic insult.

Dr Robotnik, although I still like Eggman as a Sonic insult. See, I kinda like how they've explained things with that. This video should have the answer:

The American translation is so ingrained in my head, that I could never dream of referring to Speed Racer as "Go Mifune", his name in the original Japanese manga.

Braindead - Der Zombie-Rasenmähermann / The Zombie Lawnmower Man. That's purest art.
Dawn of the Dead - Zombies im Kaufhaus / Zombies in the Mall. This is the version my parents saw at the theatre and told me about many, many years ago. All three of us were very surprised when I brought a movie simply titled "Zombie" and it was actually "Zombies im Kaufhaus".

For example I’m surprised everyone will call all sentai rangers, but will never call Kamen rider Masked Rider Probably because Masked Rider was a massive failure in America, where Power Rangers was a smash hit. If MR did better it might have caught on... but that would require it to be a completely different show and not one that didn't seem to know if it wanted to be a masked superhero show or a wacky family sitcom and neither parts seemed to cross over into the other aspects.

Honestly Resident Evil always felt a bit more distinct as a title than Biohazard, even if the former started becoming a bit more oddly fitting for games outside homes/mansions.

Case Closed is a lot better of a title than Detective Conan.

in the first Wild Arms game, "Holmcross" is an obvious mangling of the word "Homunculus". but it sounded so badass/perfectly cromulent that they kept the word in subsequent games that were localized by someone without alcohol induced brain damage.

A lot of Final Fantasy 6's quirks.
Especially a lot of Kefka's lines.

Pinsir's English name is fairly plane, and Kailios, the Japanese name, is alright, but its French name of "Scarabrute" is really cool.
Similarly, Koffing's German name, Smogon, ended up taking on a new life as the name of the website that is probably the most influential on competitive Pokemon battling, at least in the English-speaking sphere, and is just kind of a neat name, anyway.
"Scyther" is definitely a name that works better than its Japanese name, which is literally just the word "Strike".

The Street Fighter 2 bosses' names. (And I guess Akuma and Charlie count here too)

Don't forget the Japanese name for Jolteon, Thunders, which is not to be confused with the Japanese name for Zapdos, Thunder.

Growing up in school and arcades in the early ‘90s, the guy on Street Fighter 2 with the white suit will be rye-you until the day I die.

The Street Fighter 2 bosses' names. (And I guess Akuma and Charlie count here too) So, in Japan, the Boxer is called M. Bison because he's basically Mike Tyson. Makes sense. The Dictator is called Vega, after the star of the same name. Also makes sense. ....Now why the hell did they call the Matador Balrog? Like that doesn't even sound remotely Spanish.
