Talking about Brock/Cena at Extreme Rules 2012 in another post and that was a match that had the smarky Chicago crowd cheering Brock in his first match in almost a decade and booing Cena. As the match went on though Cena was getting beat so badly the crowd started to feel bad and get into his brief comebacks and got to the point they cheered like crazy when he won.
Another Brock match v Rollins at Summerslam 2019. The Canadian crowd didn't like Seth to begin with but they got so into the match that by the end they wanted him to win and gave him a big reaction as he won the title.
Okay, Brock again somehow. I haven't rewatched it in years but I think the MSG crowd at Wrestlemania 20 was mostly focused on booing Brock to begin with and there was a loud Goldberg chant at the beginning but then when they kept stalling for minutes the crowd just thought f*** it and turned on Goldberg too to the point that Austin the referee was only crowd favorite by the end of the match.

Balboa-Drago from Christmas 1985. I think this counts: Bob Backlund actually obtained crowd support by being the marathon man in the 1993 Royal Rumble. I count it because I don't think too many fans came to the arena that day super hoping Backlund would win.

At Slamboree '98, the crowd really got behind the Outsiders midway through their match against Sting and the Giant. Before that they were kind of booing the Giant but cheering Sting, but there was a loud Wolfpack chant and fans cheering Nash kicking Sting's ass. Then, of course they killed it by having Hall turn on Nash and join up with NWO Hollywood.

Edge vs Orton, Vengeance 04. Very pro-Orton crowd, but Orton managed to turn them against him and they were pro Edge for the finish.

Not exactly the same, but at MITB 2011, the smark crowd was VERY pro-Christian. After he won the title by DQ though they were very pro-continued violence. So they were all for Orton beating Christian’s ass after Christian won the title.

That Stephanie McMahon vs Brie Bella match I think at Summerslam
Crowd looked like they didn't care for the match at all and then Steph started schooling Brie and they were fully on her side

Triple H vs Scott Steiner at Royal Rumble 03, where Scott clearly had nothing to give at that point & despite trying his best Triple H couldn't stay heel.

Royal Rumble 1992. Hulk Hogan enters to a great reaction, but half the crowd turns on him at the end.

Royal Rumble 1992. Hulk Hogan enters to a great reaction, but half the crowd turns on him at the end. And then the crowd turned again when replays were shown on WWF programming the following week!

Related note: Bret vs Austin officially put Stone Cold over as the #1 face. For sure, Bret was playing the heel going in, but Austin’s fave turn was still relatively lukewarm. When Bret repeatedly put him in the sharpshooter e-bike the blood oozed from Austin’s head you could see the audience turn in Austin’s favor. From that instant on he was solidified.

Royal Rumble ‘94 where the crowd is initially pretty indifferent towards Diesel but then he eliminates like seven guys and the crowd is going nuts for him.

For their 2 out of 3 falls match at Takeover: New York, the crowd was overwhelmingly on Adam Cole's side at first and by the end were popping big for Gargano.

MITB 2011 had a weird one where Miz was getting standard boos prior to his (kayfabe) injury and being removed from the match.
Then near the finish when he was essentially limping down to the ring and returning to the match, fans were going nuts for him.

I'm imagining if this would ever literally happen if a TV hard cam broke during a sparsely-attended TV filming block.
