Of all the things they could do with Luke, watching him whine and bitch about power converters for ten episodes with a cameo by James Earl Jones and Hayden Christensen in Episode 10 sounds like absolute hell.

I could see like... 1 single episode of a 30 minute show dedicated to showing just how much of a backwater shithole Luke grew up in. Even that is pushing it. One of the key points of Luke's entire story is that his normal life is boring as hell. Right, Lucas was way into Campbell's Hero's Journey & the opening to the first Star Wars IS Luke's Call to Adventure. It was just blue milk and Vaporators before that.

Sees thread title… yeah seeing Luke go on some adventures before turning into a hermit would be cool. Sebastian Stan would still be perfect. Strange way to phrase this thread though…
Opens thread… who would want that?
Im still down with a young Leia series with Millie Bobby Brown but yeah that window is closing.
I think Disney learned the wrong lessons Solo. We would love to see new adventures with these characters recasted. We just didn’t want whatever the hell Solo was. I’d go as far and say the casting wasn’t the problem with that film.

And getting almost murdered by rogue inquisitors, apparently.

Star Wars Babies is something I've been pitching for years. George Lucas is that you?

Luke is my favourite character from Star Wars, and even I'd not be enthused about this one.
The one I'd always really wanted to see were his efforts in building a new order of Jedi. But given the way things ultimately go to crap there anyway, less than I used to.

I wonder if a moisture farmer could convert someone's pee into drinkable water.

That would be remarkably dull, I think the better option is them following Kenobi on adventures, with Luke occasionally being involved or on the sidelines.

How about we don't ever do anything involving a Skywalker ever again.
The universe has more stories to tell that have nothing to do with this one family.
Let's tell those stories.

So a story about how a young Shmi Skywalker secretly became the Pirate Queen of the Outer Rim for a brief period of time wouldn't interest you?

Can she meet a young rebellious space punk emperor and have them fall in love and have them conceive a baby? Only for the emperor to realize if he stays in love he can never have what he really wants complete Control of the universe. So he takes a job behind the scenes faking his identity as lonely senator on Naboo. As for Shmi well he uses his Sith powers to give her amnesia… because plot.

Only for the emperor to realize if he stays in love he can never have what he really wants complete Control of the universe. So he takes a job behind the scenes faking his identity as lonely senator on Naboo. As for Shmi well he uses his Sith powers to give her amnesia… because plot. Palpatine was supposed to be a significant part of the story, yes. Honestly the whole thing was an idea I came up with while the prequels were still in theaters. Shmi, then using a different name, would be in her late teens/early 20's. After leading a slave rebellion on the pirate ship she's imprisoned on and seizing control of it, she becomes something of a folk hero among slaves in the Outer Rim, inspiring them to their own rebellions and attracting other followers throughout that region of space, forming a small armada of pirate ships at her command who attack slavers and mobsters, like The Hutt. She just wants to lead them to some out of the way planet so they can live a free, peaceful life. But Sheev, who claims to be a Jedi and has joined up with her and become her lover, tells her she has the firepower to destroy the Hutts and end slavery in the Outer Rim once and for all. But in the end she finds out she's outmatched by the forces allied against her and that Sheev has betrayed her, her fleet destroyed and most of her followers either killed or forced back into slavery. After the battle is over she discovers she's pregnant with a son. To protect him she changes her name, lies about her role in the uprising and goes back to a quiet life as a slave. If anybody asks her about her son she'd just rather make up a ridiculous lie about him being an immaculate conception then tell the truth, even a partial truth, in fear that they might actually piece together her past from it and risk their lives.
