Forgive me if I'm wrong, but didn't Adam Copeland debut before Goldberg? And wasn't Adam using the spear before Goldberg starting using it? Inquiring minds want to know.

Today I learned Goldberg invented tackling. Football owes everything to you, my king.

Bill, your winning streak was only a pale shadow of the winning streak that Tatanka had back in the day.

Apparently, Edge first used the Spear in June 1998. That's after Goldberg, who first used the move in 1997. And while Edge started his overall career before Goldberg and worked some jobber and developmental matches with WWF as early as May 1996, Goldberg made his national WCW debut before Edge's full-time WWF debut (September 1997 vs June 1998).
Goldberg almost never used his Spear as a finisher on that note. It was usually a setup move for the Jackhammer. I can't remember when Edge started using his Spear as a finisher, but he's had other finishers he used before then IIRC.

I want to say Edge started using the Spear as his regular finisher in 2004, due to this segment: www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/74gr8n/edge_returns_to_raw_in_2004_and_spears_the_living/

If that’s what he’s saying about Asuka’s streak, I’m hoping that nobody tells Goldberg that Kairi also does the Spear as one of her moves.

Confused me when he didnt have it as a finisher in the Smackdown games. Still had his DDTs.

He’ll retroactively complain about Billy Gunn using the jackhammer To be fair, Gunn seemed to have a lot of WCW moves during that time for some reason. He was casually using Stinger splashes too.

Goldberg deserves the same treatment WWE gave to Sting. Nothing more, maybe even less.

The only move Goldberg invented was bashing your head against the locker room door before a match in order to concuss yourself and perpetually rip open the gash in your forehead for years on end. Granted, he was also the first to punch a limo's windows with your bare fists, but his exploits with real glass pale next to what Jack Perry has done with it.

Yes, what he said was douchy and bigoted but on the other hand, it takes a real bozo to not understand why someone got over for such a long time, to the point where he helped WCW breathe further down the neck of you. But if ther was one thing Vince was known for in the early 2000s was missing easy goals with no keeper or defenders to stop him from scoring.
