Yeah, I made a rhyme. Feel free to correct me but did she not spend some time in WWE developmental in the pre-NXT days? I believe she has described not getting along with Stephanie in various interviews. While it is ultimately for the best that she ended up in TNA, you could not have asked for a better time and place for her on so many levels, the prospect of her in WWE at that time does raise sone interesting what if’s. It was the fitness model era of WWE’s women’s roster, so she definitely would have stood out, though whether that would have been a positive or negative is up for debate.

She was in OVW, yeah.
I think her charisma would have benefited her, but TNA was definitely more of a place that was going to play into her crassness, etc, so her being a bigger fish in a smaller pond likely did more for her.

I always thought that she would've been great in WWE, but unfortunately the timing wasn't on her side. She wasn't under a developmental contract, but went to OVW for more training and to try to get noticed. Danny Davis was high on her because she was one of the few non-developmental wrestlers used on OVW's TV show. That was huge, because Danny literally created a second short-lived show called Derby City Wrestling (no relation to the new promotion using that name) so he could showcase the rest of his trainees.

I can understand sone being high on her as a rare talent with some experience already under her. But out if all other prospects she’s the one I have trouble picturing a place for in the WWE of the time. Taylor Hendrix would have adapted well to the fitness model era, I think. Daffney’s goth character would have made a natural foil to Kelly Kelly. But with ODB I can only envision her trailer park character paired with hillbilly Jamie Noble, which would have been a ticket to lower midcard obscurity.otherwise she could have filled a Chyna role as the woman bodyguard/enforcer fir one of the guys, but I can’t think of who might have been a good fit for it with her.

I actually think her and Jamie Noble would've been great. You're right that it probably would've been lower card, but I still think it would've been really entertaining.

If anything, I think she'd do better than Daffney from the ones listed in Sephiroth's post. Vince always loved his redneck gimmicks and ODB would have knocked that out of the trailer park even for just a few months. Goth gimmicks, I don't think he understands, it'd turn into some supernatural crap or be forgotten and Daffney would be repackaged pretty soon.

But a character like Daffney usually portrayed going after Kellyx2 because she hates “the pretty people” seems like a story that writes itself. I recall Kane tapped such a gimmick from time to time. As for mentioning Taylor-she is a beautiful woman, an overall solid hand in the ring, she had built some recognition even by then, and she’s played a sexualized character from time to time, so overall I could have seen her finding her way in the women’s division of that era, maybe not championship material but she’d have fit in better than some others.

Oh yeah I was just comparing Daffney and ODB as the more gimmick heavy ones. Taylor would be fine. Daffney going after the "pretty" ones would probably happen, but that would mean we'd have commentary trying to convince us Daffney wasn't stunning and many poor taste segments a la Molly Holly and Mickie James.
