I apologise for bragging slightly, but this was always a thing I wondered about.
The 'WOAH' in Kingdom is a nod to "Smoke & Mirrors"
This is definitely worthy of its own thread

Makes sense, given it's obviously tailored specifically for Cody, like the mention of his father and "Hard Times". I do like when a theme manages to contain some easter eggs.

I always kind of figured it was.
That said I very much dispute the idea that Downstait knows what they're doing.

I recently spoke to Downstait during the annual Embarrass (Waupaca County) centenary celebrations. We ate corndogs from old newspapers and they confirmed that "Woah" is a tribute to "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" and that Cody sees himself following Rufus.

Even just little lines "You took my dream but not my name", when you take dream as being the Dream, and then after that, WWE did actually take his name for a while, it makes that line super sad.

I sort of took it more as not taking his name as in how WWE would not let him revert to Cody instead of Stardust past a certain point, just given how I assume when he had the theme done, he'd have already known "Cody Rhodes" was going to be an issue for him on the indies.

I have a friend who would mark out for Kingdom and at every watch party he'd really get into it and want to hear it. Revolution 2020 happened, where Downstait performed it live, and the look on his face was one of absolute horror and shame at what he was looking at because of how dogshit every part of that performance was. Then obviously Corona hit and we didn't watch wrestling in person together for literal years, so one of the final actual wrestling memories we got was one of us being hopelessly failed by Downstait.
The other from that night was the Marty Scurll tribute spot in the Elite vs. Hangman and Kenny tag match literal months before Speaking Out so the whole watch party is actually kinda blighted in hindsight.
