Just got done watching Jon Moxley and Alex Coughlin (Tony, just sign this dude) at GCW's Bloodsport last month. I'm super in to how well they were able to still have what is visually a pro wrestling match, but lean in so heavy on the MMA influence. Does anyone else have any recommendations on other matches like that? Is it a whole style that somehow I don't know about? I know Strong Style is almost kind of close but this really did just look like a worked shoot fight.
Thanks in advance.
*also, is this the theme of the event? (Bloodsport) I don't have time to look anything else up right now but if the whole show is like this I'm f***ing going one day lmao

Toshiaki Kawada vs. Gary Albright. It's not 100% shoot style, but it is the best blend I have seen of the style with traditional wrestling.

Check out Gleat, all their shows are free on YouTube and they have a division for that style of match. You can tell which because the scores appear on the screen.
And yes Bloodsport is all like that. They're occasional shows under the gcw umbrella so most, if not all, are on fite+. The most recent was Bloodsport 9 which had Kota Ibushi Vs Speedball Mike Bailey which was my favourite match of this style (but I'm not the target audience and get bored of it quickly).
