If you're an Xfinity customer, keep an eye on your bill over the coming months. Mine just went up FORTY DOLLARS with no added services, increased speeds or anything.
I get price increases happen and could understand $3-$8 or so, but FORTY? With no incentives - and in fact downgrading because it loses Peacock next month, just egregious.
Customer service also connected me to their "loyalty department" who told me to hold on as they could find what they could do for me and then just circled me back to their main menu.
Spent hours going back and forth with them over Twitter DMs and only got them to go down $20. Definitely going to explore my other options and likely cancel within these next 30 days.

This is their response to “giving away” data during the pandemic, it’s pathetic really. Left them for Sonic Fibre in my area, 10G both ways for $50 a month (fortunate enough to live in an area with an option).
High speed internet access should absolutely be a utility for all, there’s no excuse to continue allowing these bloodsucking corporations to use the same poles our electricity runs on and profit off of it without truly improving their network or service.

Latest update: DMing with their "corporate escalation team" and they're not budging. Makes me wonder if Elon secretly took over Xfinity as well.

I've had "contract pricing" for four years and my base of internet and cable has stayed at $80. There's a "broadcast tv fee" and a "regional sports fee" that started at around $2 or $3 dollars each 4 years ago and are now up to $20 each. My contract is up next month and I'm probably going to get rid of cable and boost my internet speed and get NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube. NFL is basically the only reason I have cable.
If you have an Xfinity store near you, I suggest trying to go there. The last time my contract was up, I went there to see what they could do and very easily got the same contract pricing to extend. I'll be making a trip there before the end of June to talk options.

Woke up to find half of my recorded DVR was deleted. Like, I'm still on the hook for this month's additional $40 charge, and even though I have several weeks left of it, they changed my DVR storage space to the new one early without warning so I lost half my shit.
f*** this company.

Comcast is f***ing terrible. And since they can have local monopolies on cable since it's considered a utility, they can be godawful to their customers with zero repercussions.
I'm glad I live somewhere where A. Comcast doesn't serve my town and B. I'm lucky enough to have Verizon FIOS as an option where the local cable company is actually forced to compete instead of holding their customers hostage.

My Xfinity bill went up $20 in just the last few months. Another hike will motivate me to look and see what other options I have.
