Well, I've decided to skip Backlash; I feel like I won't miss anything by not watching it. Hopefully, I'm wrong and every title switches hands and I'll regret it. First PLE I'll miss since 2020. Sorry, Omos, lol.

mid to late spring is hard to follow. Real sports are dominating tv time. Two leagues in playoffs and baseball is back. That’s how I feel. I still follow the product, but I rarely watch just because of other things of interest being on

Basically the same. If I think about it I may turn Raw on but it's background noise, and I'm never home for Smackdown

Wrestlemania Sunday reminded me of why I haven't been a regular viewer since 2018.
It opened with a guy who has no real merits to him beyond his size in a high profile match on a big show. Followed by a women's match that was utterly pointless and just there to take up space. Then there was another women's match which ended with a company favorite going over the person that everybody has wanted to see used in a major way for years. Following that we have a Hell in a Cell match wherein a popular star of today is used for no other reason than to do the job for a legend.
And then the main event, where WWE had an opportunity to make something amazing, where they clearly knew what the crowd wanted, where they had a chance to make a TRUE Wrestlemania moment...
... And decided to squander it all in favor of Roman Reigns winning yet a-f***ing-gain
It made me realize that WWE will never truly change, no matter who is in charge. WWE is still WWE. It's still a company that will push people on looks rather than merit. It's still a company that has no desire to do anything with women on their cards that doesn't involve a title. It's still a company that very clearly doesn't care in the slightest what the fans think, a star isn't popular or over unless they say so. It's still a company that will always value the stars of the past over the stars of today. And it will always be a company that is incapable of pulling the trigger on another major act, because the plan is, was and always will be Roman Reigns.

WWE may think guys like Roman have a lot of merit. Not saying he should have won, because he should have lost, but again IMO, WWE guys who get the pushes DO make sense... most of the time...

The Merit comment was more for Omos. Roman's a fantastic in ring talent who genuinely does belong on top of the card even if he has been overpushed through most of it.
