If we go by currenty drawing power and merch sales, AEW's biggest stars are either Mox or OC
Could be the Acclaimed if they had gotten a strong sustained push on the main show

Same, I tried. Closest I can get is Pepsi Zero, it actually has some sweetness to it My dad drank Diet Coke all the time and that shit tasted like battery acid lol Coke Zero was legit my favorite soda ever. Then they rebranded all of the Zero flavors into Zero Sugar and it just didn't taste the same. Because Murica! Only Murica couldn't figure out Zero meant no sugar so Triple C had to actually spell it out for them because majority thought it meant something diminishing. The rest of the world still has the OG Coke Zero

However, my least favorite is Mountain Dew, especially out of the fountain. I enjoy Diet Dew better than Mountain Dew Zero.

Punk was 2nd in merch sales last week behind only AEW branded stuff. Where's that information from? I'm always interested in who sells what merch. Taking out posters and action figures, posters, hats, and fanny packs there are 46 shirts listed. Punk has 7 shirts in the highest sales for the week. I'd think AEW's merch site has it listed in order of best seller but not sure. If that is the case Punk had 4 of the top 20 and the 4th most bought shirt... with his original Best in the world shirt being behind a Danhausen buttondown, an OC shirt, and the Bullet Club Gold Shirt... Kris Statlander would also have 2 shirts in the top 10. Though I'm not sure if that's how it's listed. Danhausen did sell the most merch in 2022 with Punk 2nd, then MJF, then the Acclaimed

I believe the best sellers on there are just for the website though and don't factor in sales at live events. I don't know if it factors in sales at Global Shop AEW either. I think they might be in order as if you sort it by year, the Jay Briscoe shirt is first.

Yeh,its his return announced makes sense it would spike, which is why people use the big example pools than the small ones. when I checked and this week he isnt even top 3.His sales are good but under BCC/Acclaime/OC/Danhausen. Im also counting OC and Mox being huge rating bumpers. Which we still have to see how well Punk does in ratings, since we know he isnt moving tickets.

Thought this was the best place to post this. As much as I'm not digging the bullet club stuff and FTR are hit and miss for me, I can't wait to see Joe and Punk go at each other again. It's unrealistic to expect the same quality we got from them over a decade ago but I know I'll still feel it when they have the inevitable face off

Punk was 2nd in merch sales last week behind only AEW branded stuff. Where's that information from? I'm always interested in who sells what merch. Update from this week's Observer: Merch ranking estimates for last week from Wrestlenomics top five were Brodie Lee, AEW vs. NJPW Bullet Club gold, Orange Cassidy, The Acclaimed and BCC. Top items were Lee’s “AEW Unmatched” item, AEW vs. NJPW Bullet Club Gold shirt, Cassidy “One Line” BCC “Be Real” shirt and the new FTR “Billion Star” shirt. In PW Tees, the top items are AEW, Cassidy, Kris Statlander, Jay Lethal and The Acclaimed. For the month of May, it was Britt Baker, AEW, Punk, FTR and Adam Cole for individuals and for specific items it was Punk “Best in the World,” House of Black skulls Carnivalhausen, FTR Micro Brawler tag team and Baker’s “Battle Damage” T-shirt

I find it amusing that Bullet Club shirts are still such good sellers. That stable is never dying.

I wouldn't read too much into just one or two factors when it comes to determining 'drawing power'. Orange Cassidy moves plenty of merch, but he was just recently main eventing cards on the 'House Rules' tour where at best they hit 50% capacity in markets that hadn't been visited by a big company in years. Being able to move merch doesn't necessarily equate to more ticket sales, and vice versa.

Is there a conversion rate at which merch is considered to be running well? Like Dynamite averages about 850,000 viewers, Orange Cassidy is in almost 100% of the episodes. Based on those numbers, does he have to sell a certain number of merch items to be considered a top seller? I have no idea about this business side.
