Started to download a game yesterday and while the main portion of the game downloaded to completion, the DLC has continued to jump all over the place. It’s been as high as 99 hours+ to finish download to as low as 5 and then usually settles somewhere in the middle at around 25 hours. Another thing I don’t understand is that the GB seem to be moving towards completion (Slowly, but the numbers are moving) but the overall time left never seems to move. For example, it currently says 31.636 GB out of 60.000 GB with 25 hours remaining, even though it still said 25 hours remaining when I was in the 20.000 GB range.
Mind you, i’m staying with someone who has pretty bad internet and pretty much has everything they own connected to their Wi-Fi, but I’ve never seen anything this atrociously slow when using the PS4.

Yeah it's starting to show its age, sadly.

as someone who had slow internet (20 mb download wired, under 10mb wireless at the time.) and upgraded it to a faster speed, that download time is entirely down to file size and slow internet. ps4/ps5 are a tad slower on the downloads than xbox one/series s/x the time length for a download is down to internet speed.
a 30gb update to call of duty would take me 10-12 hours, now it's like an hour, hour and a half tops.
