Aside from the two tv movies and the animated series, Star Wars has never revisited the Ewoks, not in the prequels, or the sequel trilogy, or the tv shows (maybe they were in the books or comics, but I dont know). Why havent we seen them again? You'd think they'd at least be in the sequel trilogy.

Wonder if they got the Scrappy-Doo treatment because of the (also not totally fair) backlash against them?

There was a one second Wicket and son cameo in Rise of Skywalker. Felt like enough.

In my headcanon, Kylo Ren had them mostly eradicated in an act of revenge.

The Ewoks are a primitive people who haven't achieved space travel outside of a couple of examples in Legends. Unless something necessitates a hero going back to the Forest Moon, there's no real reason to use them again.

There’s no indication that Ewoks, or any similar species, exist outside of the Forest moon so no logical reason to see them again.

Coming this Fall to a Disney+ near you
Rob Schneider was your every day tax paying citizen. Until one day, he woke up on the Forest Moon of Endor. Now he has to get by living with a primitive people who won't even yub nub his jub jub.
See Rob Schneider in The Ewok.
Rated PG-13.

I think a lot of it is that they're a species that just doesn't leave Endor much. They do apparently sometimes leave, but unlike wookies, they're not commonly used as slave labor or mercenaries, so it makes sense they just would not turn up a lot.

I thought that one of the characters on that Young Jedi thing that Disney Junior is doing was an Ewok at first. Other than that, two Ewok related things post Jedi (not counting the cartoon series) 1)"Star Wars: Empire of War" expansion "Forces of Corruption" having bounty hunters turn Ewoks into suicide bombers. 2)This comic panel:

I've been kicking around an idea for a new Star Wars movie that would canonize both the Ewok TV movies as well as The Freemaker Adventures. In it an adult Cindel Towani (I'm thinking Dove Cameron maybe?), having constant nightmares from her childhood trauma, returns to Endor believing her brother might still be alive. After re-connecting with Wicket they meet young Jedi Rowan Freemaker and his faithful Droid companion R0-GR who are investigating the Moon after sensing disturbances in the Force there. Together they discover that Charal is not as defeated Cindel thought, and our young heroes have to stop her from reuniting the pieces of the Sunstar-Shadowstone and threatening the galaxy with it.
I don't know. Anybody think it would work? If you do don't be afraid to kick it along to Dave Filoni.

There is a companion in SWTOR that's an Ewok. I think you need to get to a certain legacy level. Her name is Treek and she's a particularly bloodthirsty Ewok bounty hunter lol.
