youtu.be/KvMCdunHIIYOh man, this brings back so many memories. Just reminds me of this thread I made a couple months ago: officialfan.proboards.com/thread/614385/traditional-live-tvSomething about these bumpers and network specific commercials, made these shows and network feel like a living thing with a personality. That and hosts of a tv block. I love steaming, but I love the weird communal aspect of a tv network caring about building an identify for itself and it’s programming.

i loved the first few years of Cartoon Network because they played so many great old cartoons from different eras and series I had never, ever seen before. And the bumpers were really fun, funny, and creative. I gotta watch this Nostalgia Critic episode. Thanks for posting it.

Nostalgia Critic is in the internet equivalent of a cockroach that keeps scurrying around even though it's been repeatedly stepped on.

I still watch NC when the topics interest me. And I'd be for bumpers features too.

Having seen this, I now wonder...was that old Lord of the Rings spoof that ends with the "Who?" "CAPTAIN PLANET!" gag a reference to the bumper seen here?

There are a few bumpers that I still recall quite well. One was a number of characters in their car trying to find a parking spot in the Cartoon Network parking lot.
The other was Fred stalking Daphne.

Cartoon Network really wanted Johnny and Velma to be a thing.
