And later heard was good or at least wanted revisit later?
I’m currently watching “the Batman” cartoon on Netflix. It’s not bad, but I thought it was that other one with Diedrich Bader, which I also didn’t give a chance. That one looked silly and goofy when it first aired but after seeing clips on social media, it seems to be a send off of the Adam west cheesiness and I’m all for that.
Anyways, after growing up on the 80s/90s originals, I couldn’t get into the newer ones because they felt like
1. Too Soon 2. There was still some story left in the old one 3. I didn’t want to get used to a new voice cast
Batman the animated series, Superman justice league, justice league unlimited: those are my favorites. Once they rebooted it to the Batman and Brave and the bold without Kevin Conroy and Makr Hamil, it felt wrong. It took me months to give Batman beyond a chance.
X-men the animated series, great. I absolutely did not watch any X mean evolution. I barely even know anything about the Wolverine and the X men cartoon
Spider-Man the animated series. You canceled the first one without properly finishing the last story arc and then you make Spectacular Spider-Man, Spider-Man unlimited, Spider-Man and his amazing friends.

I admit Rise of TMNT left a terrible first impression, but I've heard enough good things about it (and especially the movie) that I do plan to go back and watch it a some point.

I was very skeptical of HBO’s Watchmen miniseries from a few years ago and didn’t watch for the first several weeks but it was fantastic.

I still haven’t watched The Batman.
Not counting smaller marvel/dc titles it’s probably the most notable comic book movie that I’ve just completely not cared about. I have co workers telling me to watch it, some friends that say it sucks, and I legit almost got a month of MAX last night just to watch the stupid thing.

Bel-Air, aka "what if Fresh Prince but as a srs drama". I've avoided it on GP, but I've heard nothing but good things about it, so I'll probably get around to watching it eventually.

I was “eh” whenever at first I saw listings for Adventures of Sonic as opposed to the more epic SatAM Sonic and growing up I thought it was just okay, sometimes funny. While it still doesn’t dethrone the ABC show for me I think AoStH holds up better than people think with some nicely inspired Looney Tunes influenced humor and concepts.

Batman: Brave and the Bold is the one with Diedrich Bader. It's probably the second best Batman cartoon after TAS.

I'm sure I wasn't the only fan of the Conan Doyle novels and excellent Jeremy Brett TV series who thought the idea of Sherlock Holmes in the modern day being written by the Doctor Who beards sounded absolutely ghastly - well we ate our words soon after even if Cumberbatch got too overexposed as a result of the series success. Rewatched them all a year or two ago, and they have aged okayish.

I admit Rise of TMNT left a terrible first impression, but I've heard enough good things about it (and especially the movie) that I do plan to go back and watch it a some point. yeah my friend who is a big TMNT fan basically told me the same thing. It had a really bad first impression but the show is actually really good. I haven't watched it yet. I was very skeptical of HBO’s Watchmen miniseries from a few years ago and didn’t watch for the first several weeks but it was fantastic. I still haven't watched it and still don't really have plans to, I'm kinda done with imaginings and reworkings of Watchmen... the comic really didn't need anything added to it, it was perfectly fine as a stand alone story, everyone wants to be the one to add stuff to it and honestly the more that people try to add to it really diminishes it... Also the creator said some really dumb shit that probably wasn't meant to be taken as insulting towards Moore but phrased in a way that absolutely could be taken that way...

Beast Wars.
I was a fan of the 80's Transformers and when I saw what they were doing I was like "huh?" I was never quite "Trukk Not Munky!" but I felt it wasn't for me.
Afterwards I did catch an episode here and there and thought they were doing some interesting things but I never watched the whole show.
Same goes for RID and the Unicron Trilogy. I didn't get back into watching a series until Animated.

I was initially kinda iffy about the Rocky Horror remake Fox made, but upon thinking about it more I kinda realised "I've seen and listened to dozens of Rocky Horror casts over the years from different theatre runs, this is just one more in that line." and I'm really glad I did because I fricking loved it.
Thought Laverne Cox's trans woman Frank was a cool update, the whole vibe of the castle being an abandoned movie theatre was quite cool, Reeve Carney made a fun Riff Raff and he's one of my fave actors anyway, and then you've got Ryan McCartan's Brad who's just so overdramatic, and I think might actually be better than the original movie version. And it's a lovely full circle thing to have Tim Curry as the Criminologist.
---
Then on the other end of the spectrum I eventually decided I should try the Wicker Man remake and see if it had any value beyond memes, and nope, shitty movie that tarnishes the name of the original which might be as perfect a horror classic as there is.

I saw HBO’s Watchmen mentioned, and I can’t understand how any fan of the book enjoyed it. The show completely undid all the character development we saw in the book, with Laurie still being in love with Manhattan (even though her entire arc was learning she deserved better), Veidt becoming sad and angry that he didn’t receive recognition for saving the world (even though his plan had him killing anyone who worked on the project or knew about it) and Rorschach, a character who is dead and can’t defend himself, is destroyed because Lindelof needed to make conservatives the bad guys (bUT eVeN MoORe sAiD ROrsChACh iS AwFUl).
This doesn’t even take into account the plot holes that make no sense (she was married to Manhattan the whole time, but never mentioned it and he could still use his powers sometimes), the bad writing (Don Johnson was a klansmsn, except he was best friends with Abar?) and terrible ending that is supposed to be meaningful, but is just bad (of course she walked on the water. Manhattan told her she would). Mind you, these are all staples of a Damon Lindelof show.
It’s sad that the alternate timeline of Doomsday Clock (which was also really bad) looked better than what HBO put out. I guess it was still better than the awful Rorschach series from Tom Taylor.
One thing I will give credit to, is the material HBO posted on their website that expanded the works of Watchmen. It gave a good look at how things developed after the book (society’s fear of technology and different historical events of the 90s). It’s sad because the show could’ve been great if it wasn’t used to be so politically heavy handed.
Please, don’t come back with a Cracked.com level of argument, saying “but Watchmen was political.” If you’ve read the book, you’ll see that Moore didn’t make America or Russia into a hero or villain, and no definitive answers were given about right or wrong. In this, Lindelof and the writers just wanted to say anyone who disagrees with them politically is a racist, and you’re wrong if you disagree with them on their views.

Barely even considered checking out the new God of War games. Just have zero interest in turning what were quick, fun pick up and play hack-and-slashes and turning them into bloated self-important grinding chore dad games and what I have seen of the gameplay of them looks rather dull.
Consensus is that they're very solid I'll grant, and I do recognize it's probably coming from a bit of an irrational place, but really not at all interested in giving them a look.

Star Trek: Lower Decks. The first trailer as goddamn awful, and the first few episodes were rough, but it's grown on me to the point where it's one of my favourite things in Trek.

Spider-Man the animated series. You canceled the first one without properly finishing the last story arc and then you make Spectacular Spider-Man, Spider-Man unlimited, Spider-Man and his amazing friends. Spider-Man: TAS only left out what would have been a forgone conclusion in finding MJ. It otherwise ended perfectly, Peter got to save the entire multiverse with the aid of Uncle Ben and told his writers he'd outgrown them.

Smallville is one of my favorite shows of all time, but it definitely overstayed its welcome and I was really burnt out on it when it ended. A short while later they announced Arrow and I just was not interested. Then Arrow starts getting a lot of praise, and the various spin-offs it inspires start getting a lot of praise, and after years of avoiding it I finally sat down during the pandemic and start watching them.

No better endorsement for Watchmen can be made than you telling people it’s awful while misunderstanding the entire thing. ”needed to make” conservatives the bad guys is hilarious though. Kudos.
