It says something about how little presence and significance Tyrus has that I just now realized that he and EC3 had a history from their alliance in Impact Wrestling. The man's so unmemorable outside his lousy wrestling ability and controversies that I couldn't even recall anything else. I remember his impact run ended as he wanted the world title and even a bleeding out impact said 'hard pass!' and that was before his controversies.

This is going about as well as you would think. He had a killer promo about his heel turn on Sweet T. Sure it was on Main Event. But otherwise I can't remember anything about him that stood out.

I remember after Neville won the NXT Title, one of his first TV feuds was with this sack of shit. Neville got three of his teeth knocked out during their match.

Didn’t someone crack his melon open one time and he was laying outside of the ring bleeding like a stuck pig? That’s my favorite Tyrus moment.
*it’s also the only thing that I remember him ever doing.

That’s my favorite Tyrus moment. *it’s also the only thing that I remember him ever doing. That was actually like an incredibly sick bump. Alberto was dumped out of the ring off a ladder and Tyrus was supposed to catch him but things got misaligned and instead Alberto kneed him in the head on the way down. It's amazing neither of them was seriously injured from it.

He also had a promo where he called out Xavier woods for riding his coat tails because he was a main eventer

I saw the gif of him "running" the ropes. If he was in that state with all the training he was doing then I dread to think what will happen if he slows down in retirement. Negative velocity! I don't really care what your body type is, because there have been many bigger people who have good cardio (Earthquake, Piper Niven, Mark Henry, etc), but there is zero excuse for being out of shape cardio wise. When you get tired is the time you're most likely to hurt someone. Tyrus looks 100lbs heavier than his WWE run, while being way slower.

Tyrus had years in WWE developmental, DSW, then FCW, with DSW run by the former powerplant folks. While the ringwork training was often basic, there is no excuse for his lack of conditioning through his career. If he were a few inches shorter he would never have been hired by any promotion given his lack of aptitude, nevermind the WWE.

Big Hoss who can barely work definitely felt like the norm to somehow fail the class but still make the next grade during that era, and low and behold...

The real question is, does NWA get any interest back? Granted after the 1st season of Powerrr they lost alot to begin with then kinda carried on but then this made them look like a joke.

I know the dude is bin water as a wrestler and somehow lower than bin water as a human being. But I’m gonna own my shame and admit that, at the time it debuted, I liked the Funkasaurus. And looking at his debut match in the gimmick… youtu.be/ZISp3t5u79I?si=WriH0sHf6SbbZeuo…Dude is pretty serviceable in the role. I mean, I never got the impression, at least in this early stage, that he hated the gimmick. The shit-talking in between spots (“Should I get him?”, “My bad!”) was something hardly anyone else was doing at the time, and most importantly, he could still believably run the ropes and hit with actual impact. This was his sweet spot on a wrestling roster, the fun opening act that can warm up a crowd with a silly gimmick. But reports seemed to be that he didn’t want that, that he wanted more. But he wasn’t good enough for more, even here at the part of his career that most closely approximates to a “prime”.
