I mean in the way people watch “lifetime movies”.
Where are these movies coming from? Are they specially made for Tubi or are the just finding the most random, poorly written or acted, low budget they can find? They look like straight to video movies back when “straight to to streaming” wasn’t seen as a good thing.

I run a library. If it was up to some of the patrons I would have to buy every straight to dvd movie starring Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis, Nichols Cage, John Travolta, or Rober DeNiro. They just look at the generic title, see there's some random big name in it, that its some sort of action crime drama, and they can't get enough of them.

I love bad movies of all genres, so Tubi is like a smorgasbord for me, so much so that I've dropped all my other streaming services except for Disney+ in the last year since I hardly ever watch them anymore since discovering Tubi.

If you like horror movies, Tubi is great. Not crazy about their original content myself but there are so many (rightly) forgotten movies on that platform that I'll never be bored with it.

Tubi's got some great anime on it. Like, "Dear Brother" is absolutely fantastic.
(Just, do NOT watch it if you cannot handle heavy topics like suicide.)

Some of the Tubi Original stuff is a trip.
You get things like
- Rob Zombie's brother's debut horror film. - A Titanic movie where the ghosts of the original Titanic wreck decide to jack up a "New Titanic" complete with the captain of the new Titanic begging the old captain not to sail her ship into an iceberg. - A Superhero Universe that acts like its always existed and resolves multiple storylines. - An action thriller that has Michael Jai White on a plane being worried instead of participating in the action. - A Remake/Readaptation of an Amityville Horror movie/novel where the house mocks a girl by calling her a "Rebound" which means the haunted house understands the concept of rebounds. - Shark Side of the Moon. That's the title. - A killer shark movie with CGI Water in a bungaloo that was probably rented for the weekend of filming. - A knockoff of Cliffhanger but in a forest and starring CT from MTV's "The Challenge."
But, yeah, it also has some amazingly random old films.

Tubi is the closest you can get to going into a mom and pop video rental shop. It is Friday at 930pm and the store closes at 10pm. All the big movies are rented so you gotta go by the box art and if it has anyone you know on the cover.
For a similar feel dig into Amazon Prime Video. I have seen so many movies on there I remember the box art from Video Showboat or Home Port Video or Nolf's Liquor and Movies.
But the Asylum signed a deal not that long ago with Tubi. So Sharkside of the Moon instead of going to home video and SYFY channel it is on Tubi.

I love Tubi and Prime for random garbage you can just turn on... My only problem with Tubi is that I have found some particularly heavily edited movies on there... I think some friends and I tried to watch the Mad Foxes on there recently and what must have been 30 minutes of the movie was missing. Which is bizarre cause you turn around and there something you thought would be worse up there in its full (un)glory.... And even more bizarrely the edits weren't even consistent within the movie... With some of the content being removed having close approximations elsewhere in the movie that were left in.
