Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Callis coming back. The two security guards were there all match, they could have easily done the interference spots instead. Just really sell it that they're on Callis' payroll and it was all his plan and you'd get a similar effect.
One of them was clearly Daniels(the eyes gave it away)

It absolutely was not, Daniels has never been that tall or bulky.

Don Callis being ejected, but then just coming back later and constantly interfering with no consequences, was the only negative here. Getting ejected is the one sacred rule even the most darstardly heel usually obeys. On the plus side I completely bought the screwdriver spot being the end. Anyway fantastic match, curious what Meltzer will do after backing himself into a corner with his WK rating.

That pissed off one count kick out of the OWA was epic.

That pissed off one count kick out of the OWA was epic. It reminded me of the Golden Trigger kickout from Revolution 2020 and was just as epic.

Omega had a pretty disappointing reign, all the guys in AEW he could've had matches with for it in the span of half a year and he only had a token defense against Cobb.

Don Callis vs. Solo Sikoa in a Loser Has To Stay The F*** Out Match.
Loser comes back 10 minutes later anyway.

I mean, they’d likely have to get it approved by New Japan and they’d probably likely would rather it be against their own guys as well as making it fit to not interrupt the BCC angle or anything they were doing. I get it but also, it’s New Japan. People holding belts and not defending them much is, like, the 5th thing they’re known for in history. Ask Brock Lesnar.

Ospreay's heeling was great in this match, especially when he used the Kamigoye on Omega.

I'd give it 5 stars but I have to knock a point off for 2 people who should really know better doing that Tiger Driver.

I hate Ospreay and the interference soured it for me (not least because it was stupidly booked interference) but it was only a hair short of a masterpiece

Comparing Don Callis coming back to Solo Sikoa coming back for the WM main event...the only thing that is the same is that they both came back out after being ejected. Which isn't the point.
If Solo came back out, in FULL VIEW of the referee, and then proceeded to STAY OUT THERE for 10 more minutes, and constantly try and interfere over and over then we'd have a case.
Or if Don Callis came back secretly to give Ospreay the screwdriver and then scurried away, then we have an apples to apples comparison.
Don remaining out there was the issue.

Actually enjoyed it even more the second time. I may change my mind but I think I preferred this to their Wrestle Kingdom match, just about.

Yeah, I am not going to fault Omega for it when we have had that happen with the NEVER title multiple times now, like Tama Tonga defending the title just once in 119 days, for just one example. That's just how NJPW handles these things sometimes.

Have you seen the New Japan US Heavyweight Title reigns? This belt is notorious for like having half of its reigns go for like over 100 days with two defenses or less... this was well before AEW too.

Whilst it was a cool moment and popped the crowd huge, looking back I am a bit confused by the Omega kicking out of a OWA at 1 spot. I'm guessing the logic is supposed to be that only Kenny can hit the move effectively , but it would have been better much earlier in the match so it harmed the move less.
