I absolutely positively no question about it was certain Sgt. Slaughter was legitimately in the Army or Marines at some point in his life. He just looked the part so damn well.

I used to think that Jimmy Hart was Canadian due to the fact that he managed so many Canadian wrestlers (Hart Foundation, Rougeaus, Bravo, Mountie, Earthquake). The fact that he was called "The Mouth of the South" was apparently lost on me. "From Kingsville, Ontario..."

I knew someone who thought The Giant was really Andre's son. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}NO, IT WASN'T ME! So I'm close friends with the parents of a Make-a-Wish child and his wish was WWE related. After visiting his favorite stars backstage we had seats with about a half dozen other similar kids/families. When Big Show came out I think I heard some variation of "that's Andre's son!" from most of the families. I 100% believe this is right up there with "The first Ultimate Warrior died and they quietly replaced him" in terms of WWE Urban Legend. But if my memory serves me right, didn't WCW actually say the Giant was Andre's kid a couple times? If so that simply explains the whole thing. Not only did they say it, but I remember Piper specifically saying "Back up big guy, I whipped your old man and I'll whip you too." to Show.

The only time I read anything related was when I read Bret Hart's bio in the "WWF: War Zone" strategy guide and it mentioned The Hart Foundation (the tag team, not the stable) and was managed by Jimmy Hart. It said he was no relation.
