GUNTHER should win the Rumble.
Cody can win the Chamber to get to Roman.

According to Fightful's sources close to WWE and Drew, his deal is up in early 2024 and he hasn't signed a new contract yet.

2024 is still several months away. Negotiations can and often will get down to the wire or even after a contract expires. I wouldn't read much into it either way. Just enjoy what should be a fantastic program between Drew and Gunther.

Yeah, it was weird how thick Cole laid it on that 'see, the rumiurs aren't true!'. But if he had actually signed they would've put it out there. I still think he's off and will spend his remaining time being kept prominent but losing.

Dude lost on PPV again last night, in what looks like a pretty decisive feud ending victory for Gunther, who has pinned him in title matches twice. It looks like he might be heading for the exit when his contract expires.

The match was very good (ended just when it was starting to become great IMO), but it felt like he was in IDGAF mode.

Drew is staler than month old bread at this point. No way should he have been the one to end Gunter’s reign. He needs a heel turn or..something.

I don't see Drew staying at this rate, he doesn't feel like they wanna invest in him anymore and he really feels like he's going through the motions...

His last two PPV matches have seen him get pinned by Gunther to add to his horrendous PPV record. If it looked like he was going to sign a new contract, I doubt he would be losing two IC title matches back to back on PPV clean.

Usually I’d say a guy at his level probably stays but he’s been gone from WWE before and it was arguably the best thing that ever happened to him. So I can see him thinking maybe a run in AEW is worth a shot, get paid the same and work an easier schedule.

The last thing Drew ever needs ever is a heel turn. He's consistently completely terrible at it.

It's sad that he was robbed twice of a big title win in front of a huge crowd.
The first one was obviously no ones fault but they could have just had him pin Theory to win only the WWE title at Clash at the Castle. Especially considering they made a new World Title anyway.

They don’t know if he’s going to re-sign or not, so they’re using him in big spots still but not giving him a title reign.

The last thing Drew ever needs ever is a heel turn. He's consistently completely terrible at it. He’s been a face for 4 years now, I don’t see why he may not have a better heel run in him now that he’s actually a main event-tier wrestler. And if he’s leaving, then a feud with Seth on his way out would be a good way to go (a la Diesel in 96).

Anyone who was in that pandemic rush to be re-signed, for whom their contract ends in 2024, is possibly facing the same issue right about now.

The last thing Drew ever needs ever is a heel turn. He's consistently completely terrible at it. It looks like that is going to happen with this angle with Riddle. The two challenge for the titles, lose with Riddle eating another pin and Drew turns. Riddle gets steamrolled by McIntyre and then gets released, while Drew puts over Seth on his way out of the door during the winter months.
