Drew McIntyre beats up Riddle, dunno about the crowd that night but I'm giving him a standing ovation.

Really does seem like they’re trying to speedrun another RK-Bro run up to the breakup angle because of Orton’s status with his back injury being so unsure that they’re not sure they’re going to have him back to do it himself.

Riddle's always been better, to me, as someone who's had a straight man to play off.
But I still hope Drew kicks his ass.

According to Fightful's sources close to WWE and Drew, his deal is up in early 2024 and he hasn't signed a new contract yet. Meltzer noted on Observer Radio last night that they extended his contract due to his time off. His deal now expires in April 2024. So if he either leaves or at least enters free agency, he will likely be at Mania regardless.

To misquote Rod Flanders, Updates which aren't official news on contracts make the baby msc cry.

Over the past few weeks it's been hinted at on Raw. If Riddle has been told to stay home and is getting a pink slip on Friday, they might have Drew turn tonight.

Maybe clutching at straws a bit here, but if McIntyre was on his road out he's winning surprisingly more than you'd expect. Against protected folk too, not just EC3.

I don't think they're going to beat him like a drum if his contract does end up expiring because it won't really mean anything when he puts folks over. I think they were just frustrated with Ambrose when he left but haven't really treated guys that badly since. I mean they even put Edge over at the end of his contract. I could see Drew being built to put over Seth on the road to Mania before putting someone else over at Mania (which is when his contract runs out).

Plus we’re still 7 months out from the contract expiration and there’s been no indication McIntyre is refusing to negotiate a new deal, whereas Mox was not interested in re-signing at any number.

Lot of time between now and April. WWE is still interested in re-signing him. They're not going to burn that bridge by burying Drew and make him look like a goober.

At this point, Drew vs. Cody has to happen, even if Drew doesn’t turn heel fully for it. It’s a money feud that you don’t want to squander.

I hope Drew McIntyre sticks around, because as one of the MVPs of the Pandemic Era, he deserves his time to shine as a main event player in front of live audiences.
That said, I don't know how things are trending behind the scenes, because Drew McIntyre had a seriously visible case of "Sasha Banks Pout Face" on Monday night.

I also hope Drew sticks around, maybe he gets a World Title run on Raw down the line after turning heel.

I'm still waiting for a proper face McIntyre champion run in the post-pandemic era. As soon as the crowds came back they gave him a sword and had him feud with Jinder. I'd quite happily take a repeat of that championship run, they just need to do something else with him (heel turn?) for 9 months or so to freshen him up.
He could be a really good heel challenger to Cody.

If anyone should beat Rollins for the title it should have been Balor but a heel McIntyre would be the 2nd best option. It has legs because he could go on about how he was his best when there were no fans and since they’ve been back he lost his steam. I know I know a you people heel turn but still.
