They didn't even let him cook. Missed opportunity.

His look is unique in a freak-show sort of way. A shame things didn't work out.

I mean when the highlight of your career is debuting and people going "Hey is that the lame edgelord rapper guy?" you know you've made it.

It's actually kind of stunning how they put two guys who weren't even kind of ready and who really really sucked in with Swerve and then just dropped it because reality set back in.

Yeah like according to Swerve he picked them because they fit the aesthetic he wanted to go with, but man they weren't ready to be anything more than goons in the background. They should have been working as many indy and dark tapings as possible

Trench was really, really new to wrestling, wasn't he? IIRC he hadn't even done much wrestling and hadn't had a match before debuting on TV.
It'll be interesting to see if he keeps on with wrestling or if he's decided it's not for him.

I mean, maybe the dude was just buttcheeks and not getting better, but I do think it highlights a mild developmental problem that's been showcased by the Jade Cargill's, Action Andretti's, and Trench's of the world.
WWE has it's own developmental from top to bottom, and that's great, but I think AEW could stand to do something different. TK's all about wheeling and dealing with other companies, so why not send his greenhorns out to Indies he trusts for a year of seasoning on AEW's dime? Then if they do well at that and show improvement, you send them to AAA, New Japan, RevPro, wherever for a little while longer.
Otherwise, you're just stuck waiting for the next Adam Cole, Danielson, Moxley type who's been around the horn.

It sounds like The Wrestling Revolver, Defy, and OVW are unofficial devolopmental for AEW. What I mean by that is that it sounds like if there's people that Tony and his circle really like they are getting them booked there to work on their game. Otherwise it's still smaller things like Gangrel's fed or Create a Pro

I’ll give them credit for quickly changing it up rather than trying to persevere. It was a pretty dumb idea - someone really needed to tell Swerve this before it made TV.

Didn’t have a name for a long time. Got a name. Disappeared. Released. I think that they gave him a name so that they had something to call him in the release statement.
Parker Boudreaux is an interesting case. WWE signed him and someone was pretending like he was the second coming of Brock Lesnar but they released him. He went to AEW and still sucked and I won’t be surprised if he’s gone when his contract expires. Dude gave up college football eligibility and at least a chance to catch on in the NFL for a silly goose chase wrestling career. lol

I really hope wrestling ends up working out for this dude, because the look that he's developed for himself is, quite literally, only employable as a wrestler, MMA fighter, boxer, or bouncer/security guard.
