Parker I feel bad for, he shouldn't have been put in this position and now everyone clowns him He's like 25 and has only had about 20 some actual matches. He should have stayed the Trustbusters heater. I commend Swerve for trying but this stuff has really soured the community on a guy who is still really breaking into the business and needs a lot more reps, even untelevised matches. "He vaguely looks like Brock Lesnar, but isn't as good" is a weird criticism to me, from some, because... Brock is a generational find, for starters, but he also had a good amount of time in OVW before people so much as saw him on TV. Parker has not had that kind of opportunity to hone himself, far as I know. I'm not going to pretend to be some big Parker fan, but they can certainly try harder than they've been trying to give him a proper chance to develop into something. They should’ve not put Parker on tv then. He was very much not ready for TV, so the criticism is fair when he’s an active member of the roster. It’s called All ELITE Wrestling, some fans are gonna want a certain amount of quality control.

I feel bad for the guy because he got put into a position that's an opportunity of a lifetime. He'd be dumb to turn it down, but he obviously wasn't ready for it and now this might haunt him for whatever future bookings he might receive.

Come in, do power moves, but let Ari and Slim J do the brunt of the work. Or do squash matches where he could get his moves down. But the decision to have him come in and try to have a match with Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes was the wrong decision.

Parker is still super green and I think he's still injured which is why we haven't seen him in awhile. Definitely not ready for TV in any role but as a goon on Swerve's behalf. Putting him in actual singles matches exposed him big time.

He was put on TV well before he was ready and it didn't work.
Who'd have thunk it?

He should be the one to beat Tyrus for the NWA World Title.

A completely clueless wrestling newb vs Tyrus's slow, plodding ass is the kind of train wreck that would actually get me to buy a Corgan NWA ppv.

Who ever thought a thread about Granden freaking Goetzemann (sp?) would go _THIS_ long?

Well, I guess I'm the odd man out here but I always thought with enough smoke and mirrors and some polish, both Trench and Parker would actually be pretty cool.
They both have that current hip-hop culture look which shouldn't in theory be that hard to get over.
Also find it pretty wild that so much of this thread is people dunking on a dude for having a lot of tattoos when a majority of his co-workers are dudes with shaved legs who wear underwear for gear as if that's any more weird than face tats.
So yeah. Bye Trench, sorry to hear about you losing what was probably a major income source for you and a great opportunity to get your brand out there. We're gonna spend 4 pages over here on the internet making fun of you.

The problem with putting Parker out there is that he's too green for actual television. This is a guy WWE booted out of WWE's wrestleschool, and the reality is that AEW fans are just going to expect a higher standard of quality than developmental. If they have faith in Parker he should be reporting in to Dustin's school and working indies or just. Something. If they wanna pay him to develop they can do that but he's not going to get anything in by being booked around on cable prime time.

It's literal garbage tattoo work plus scribbles that he didn't take care of so it's beyond faded. GRavers heroin ass had a stupid face tattoo, but at least it was actual art work.

In general AEW just seems like a poor place for talent to develop. I struggle to really think of much of anybody I'd say has actually grown on the job, stagnating seems to be far more common.

I'd argue Yuta and Garcia have benefited a lot from being in AEW. Developing distinct personalities and improving on their already great in ring skills. Blue Sky is another that is growing on the job I'd say. Plenty more I'd argue but my brain is filled with cold medicine.

Yuta, Garcia, Dante Martin, Skye Blue, HOOK? they've all definitely gotten better from where they began It's hard to say it's a poor place for development when it's a four year old company... you need AEW to be around longer to see how guys keep getting pushed, but I'd argue all four pillars have also gotten way better from the start of AEW to now.
