Oh my god I hope Rhea faces actual comeuppance next week because her constant interference with no consequences is old as hell

Did NXT end at exactly 10? BOO! Shawn owes us ten extra minutes next week!

How many times do we need to have main roster guys beat the NXT Champion? Right, clearly ruined forever that a main roster main eventer with hundreds of matches and loads of title wins beat a young prospect that, while talented as f*** and a current champion, is still gaining experience. Wasn’t even f***in’ clean, for f***s sake. You guys would look for any excuse to undercut a win so that it doesn’t really count any other time, but one is right there in front of you and it should be ignored now? Sick of this absolutist bullshit.

Oh my god I hope Rhea faces actual comeuppance next week because her constant interference with no consequences is old as hell It really is tiresome because not a single hand is gonna be laid on her and everyone looks like a f***ing idiot for never having a female on the roster...like any of them just run interference on her for them.

Sick of this absolutist bullshit. I just find it confusing. You beat him on RAW clean and then you pin him in a tag match where you have his kayfabe less experienced/talented partner right there. If they want to build up NXT as a third brand (which they seem to by their public statements and sending main roster talent down), you would think he would be more protected. It just feels like weird booking to me.

Here are my NXT Thoughts:
Awesome opening segment. The Judgment Day were all excellent. Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams were great. What a main event for tonight. Interesting interview with Tony D'Angelo. I'm over wrestlers being on shows that they are not drafted to. I get to see awesome wrestlers compete on multiple shows in the same week against a variety of opponents. The more awesome matches the better. So, let's end the draft & everyone can be where they want. Cool promo by Gigi Dolin. Kiana James was OK. Chase University VS Charlie Dempsey & Drew Gulak was an excellent match. It is great to see Chase back in action. Since we're doing cross-brand matches, please give us Chase U VS Alpha Academy. Solid interview by Bron Breakker. He VS Ilja Dragunov will be a war later. Wow, another emotional segment with Von Wagner. Week after week, his stuff has torn at my heartstrings. Kelani Jordan VS Cora Jade was pretty good. Jordan is developing into a great wrestler. I like Dana Brooke making the save to set-up a match between her & Jade. Good promo by Ilja Dragunov. Wow, his match VS Bron Breakker is next. They should have done something to make the match next to explain why it's not the main event as the Hayes & Williams VS Judgment Day match wasn't scheduled. Interesting segment with Gable Steveson being open-ended & not saying if he's going to be in NXT or not. Cool to see Dijak. I would love to see him in an NXT Underground Match. Ilja Dragunov VS Bron Breakker was an unbelievable match. It's already one of my top matches of 2023. Dragunov VS Hayes will be a Banger. Good promo by Wes Lee. He VS Mustafa Ali will be a fun one at Great American Bash, but Dominik Mysterio wants a shot at the North American Championship. That could be good. It will be Dom's 1st match on NXT since he defeated Cruz Del Toro on 3/15/22. Another interesting segment with Baron Corbin. Interested in seeing where it goes. Ivy Nile VS Tiffany Stratton was really good. I feel really bad for Ivy. What's she going to do without The Creed Brothers? OK promo by Tiffany afterwards. Hilarious segment with Chase University. Love the depressed Noam Dar. OK interview with Blair Davenport. But Wendy Choo was not put on the shelf when Blair attacked her. She wrestled on Level Up the following week. Channing Lorenzo VS Joe Coffey was great. I love Tony D'Angelo calling in from Prison. I also like Bronco Nima & Lucien Price coming out. I loved the finish. Oh and did Stacks steal his gear from The Spirit Squad? (Next feud is against Dolph Ziggler). OK segment with Valentina Feroz, Yulisa Leon, Los Lotharios, Nathan Frazer, & Dragon Lee. That will be a fun tag match. Thank you Shawn Michaels for a great Birthday next week with the return of Tony D'Angelo & a North American Championship Match with Lee VS Mysterio. Wait a minute, wasn't tonight supposed to be the NXT TV in-ring debuts of Bronco Nima & Lucien Price? They appeared on the platform in the opening match & then was on the ramp during Stacks VS Coffey. That was it. Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams VS The Judgment Day was a tremendous match. The Judgment Day has been amazing having bangers of matches 2 nights in a row. I like Ilja Dragunov getting involved to build for Great American Bash. This was Finn Balor's 1st NXT since he lost to Karrion Kross on 5/25/21 & Damian Priest's 1st NXT since he lost to Kross on 1/6/21. Wow, NXT actually ended at 10 with no 8 minute overrun.
Here are my NXT Match Rnakings: 1) Ilja Dragunov VS Bron Breakker 2) Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams VS The Judgment Day 3) Chase University VS Charlie Dempsey & Drew Gulak 4) Channing Lorenzo VS Joe Coffey 5) Ivy Nile VS Tiffany Stratton 6) Kelani Jordan VS Cora Jade
Ends a fun NXT. There wasn't a single thing that I didn't like. Great American Bash will be another great show. I can feel it already.

Sick of this absolutist bullshit. How about we stop having the NXT Champion get pinned for no reason. I don’t care how it happened, there was no need to pin Melo again here. We saw Finn beat him already. It should be obvious why this annoys a lot of people.

First match he was the #1 contender for a world title, and de facto probably still is technically even at this point. There’s too many aspects that need “protecting”, so I would’ve just not booked either match just to save the headache… but at the same time, we shouldn’t be afraid to book matches between big stars just because there’s always this fear of losing. ESPECIALLY since we’re such open critics of dirty and protected finishes.

One of them is a champion, the other just lost a championship match.
One should not be losing, and it ain’t the one who just lost a championship match.
And now “Finn is a big name” is NOT a good excuse imo:

I haven't minded Melo losing to the JD boys cause it feels like it actually has a point + it's never been in a way that makes Melo even remotely look bad. Like the first loss to Finn did a good job of giving Melo some actual doubt against Corbin and Finn a lil less doubt against Seth, and in the case of tonight, I don't think Melo's gonna stop beefing with Priest any time soon either.
