Similar to that tv thread, I was wondering anyone else knows surprisingly much about a film or franchise they don’t watch
I recently got a projector to replace a tv since I always wanted a huge screen.
In turn I’ve been watching a lot of movies because it feels like I’m in a movie theatre watching on this thing.
So I’ve been catching up on a lot of movies from the last 20 years. Movies I heard about being good but never watched
So I finally watched mean girls. I did want to watch that when I was young as I was had a huge crush on Lindsay Lohan when I was young but never got around to it. Yet it’s been quoted and talked about so much I already knew most of the jokes.
I am planning to watch Borat and Bridesmaids as those two have always been referenced repeatedly over the years

Mean Girls is one I didnt see until last year. Hell I hadn't seen the Breakfast Club until 4 years ago.

Usual suspects. I know the twist and have used it to describe a work colleague who is an absolute idiot but we suspect he's putting it on and does a Kaiser Sohas (sp?) as he leaves the building

Well, when I actually did see stuff like the 80s Indiana Jones trilogy or Casablanca, as I watched them I realized that I had basically already seen every story beat and heard every line of dialogue through endless references throughout pop culture since their release. That counts, right?

All the karate kid movies. Never seem a single movie yet through cultural osmosis I could give you a Wikipedia description of each film.
Same for old time cinema classics like citizen Kane, casablanca, God father trilogy etc. You know things that have been copied, parodied, and homaged to death and back

Inception is my favourite Christopher Nolan movie and I've never seen it beyond a trailer. Does the South Park episode count?
