Good, now commit to the run and feature her and the top talents in that division strongly and regularly. Don’t want to be back here in another month or two seeing more chat about how they’ve given up AGAIN. I assume she gets an All In and All Out match, so if she retains, she'll have two title defenses coming up this month

Shida really deserves to have a reign with actual people being able to see her title defenses. I was so happy for her getting the win and closing out the show with a championship celebration.

Shida carried the women's division through the pandemic, so it's nice that she's been rewarded once again in front of a more packed crowd. Hikaru Shida's the new champ. Big worry she's only holding it til All In and losing it to Saraya there, but either way, her going to the biggest AEW show ever as champ is still a cool thing Justin Roberts:"And NEWWWWW.....AEW Women's World Champion...."

I'm disappointed for Toni but marked out so hard for this ending. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more and I'm so happy for her that she'll clearly have a big match at their big show.
I really, really hope this isn't just to drop it to Saraya. She's just not on the level of the top women.

If she gets a shot it'd be a multi woman match because they know she probably isn't someone you wanna throw out there for a 15 minute plus normal match Outcasts in a Trios Match might make more sense to get Saraya on the card, but the way Saraya is talking it doesn't sound like the plan is for her, as for the Wembley prediction they were calling Toni vs Britt on the dirtsheets so either that's wrong or it is a completely separate from the belt kinda match (It'd work as a multi woman, give Britt Willow and Skye or something maybe)

I'm really happy for her. She's already got the longest reign in the title's history (No, really, go back and look. It's actually handily longer than Britt's, despite what many would assume), and even if this one might wind up on the short side, potentially, she's still likely going to have the most combined days as champion for quite some time. Deservedly so.

If this is just a 'thank you' title reign for her pandemic run and Shida gets to walk out in front of 80k people as world champ, then you know what- that's cool with me. (just don't have her drop it to Saraya cause they're in the UK, please TK)

I recommend people go back and check out her title defenses. She got the best match possible out of so many people. I love Toni as a worker but having the division settle back into solid to great title matches without too many shenanigans will be a great change of pace. It's kind of remarkable given how many women they didn't have access to then, either due to the pandemic itself or due to injuries and whatnot, but yeah, Shida would still get a lot out of just about anyone she worked with, she's very capable of that and now has a deeper, more experienced roster to work with. Definitely could go a few different ways here, but my best guess is that this does kind of settle that Jaime's not coming back too soon, so Khan pivoted (something he's often criticized for being slow to do, which is often a justifiable complaint) and likely now resets both the division at large by having a strong babyface champion, but also gets to reset the Outcasts since they won't have their main Hayter/Baker feud available to them for awhile longer. Again, it's like a soft reboot for the division in the wake of some of the key missing names, but they're getting some of them back now and can get a lot of new things going (seriously, so good to see Penelope back on TV after what she and Kip went through, hope she gets back into matches consistently).

I honestly can't tell you how excited I am for a Shida reign that actually has women's roster depth to it and isn't her fighting the likes of Penelope Ford and a very very green at the time Abadon
Both of them have improved a lot and I actually would love to see Shida in a program with Abadon NOW but her first reign was dire because of the pandemic lockout, and it was a large reason it suffered, she barely had anyone to defend it against.
But I hope she's a workhorse champion, she's the type to be, and I could see this being the likes of how Serena Deeb return, who already has a built in feud with Shida from the past.

I was good with Toni as champion if Hayter was coming back soon since that could be a good story but given she's going to be out for a while, might as well do a title change to a greater worker to inject some life into the division. You can always do Toni/Jamie at some point whether the title is involved or not and I'm sure Hayter will be right back into the title picture when she comes back regardless.

Saraya has been a borderline non-factor for months now playing 3rd fiddle in the group she essentially created.
TK would have to heat her up quickly.

Honestly, I think Hayter/Storm getting into a sort of perpetual rivalry stance with one another is a great way to go once Jamie's back. Their styles really compliment one another, so they can always kind of be a twisted mirror of one another and develop their personalities and characters against the backdrop of that rivalry, no matter if there's a title involved or not, or which one happens to be face or heel at a given time.

Rarely does a wrestling finish make me go "Oh. OH HELL YEAH", but this one did.
TK owes SO much to Moxley and Shida for carrying their divisions as champs during the pandemic. Seeing Shida finally get that big win with a big crowd and the confetti with the music... man, it felt like the happy ending of a movie.

OSW review talks about the Boo hoo face that say Nikki Bella has when she comes out and is clearly doing a job. Shida had an opposite emotional face and I was so happy to see it cause I knew she was winning and she deserved it
