Seriously I'm not understanding that at all. I get why as a company they don't want to have a ton of PPVs but how incompetent do you have to be to book two of your only 5 or 6 PPVs for the year back to back like that? π€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ

All Out is always held on the same weekend. Wembley Stadium is often in use so I guess AEW were limited to the dates they could use (they couldn't have run this weekend, for example, as there was a big football match there.)
I guess they could have broken tradition with All Out or skipped it completely but they chose to do both.

It's one of the only times they could do Wembley and they're not likely to mess around with All Out in Chicago, it's always a great city for them. Think the 'incompetent' shout is really weird, they saw an opportunity with All In and have already secured one of the biggest crowds of all time for a wrestling show, it's an unorthodox way of doing it having them so close together but if they push All Out back it's still going to be pretty close to Grand Slam and/or Full Gear, and cancelling it completely likely isn't an option. This way they at least have a big show immediately after All In to give a PPV to a lot of guys who miss out on Wembley.

Theyβre seriously banking their fans willing to shell out 50 dollars on back to back weekends are they.
unless All In isnβt really a ppv? Is it?

I feel like they must have booked the venue for All Out before the plans for Wembley came together and they realised they could make it happen, and for whatever reason it was more financially viable to keep those plans going rather than opt out. It's still baffling, and I hope the All In card doesn't suffer for it.
(Also, let's be real, now they have the rights to the original PPV name, there's no reason to keep the writing-around-trademarks version.)

It certainly doesn't immediately appear that All In will suffer, they've been given the Main Event featuring the company's hottest angle, and Punk/Joe and Bucks/FTR, both among the biggest matches they could make for those involved, plus talk of Kenny/Takeshita hasn't been mentioned with regards to All Out that I've seen, only All In. For all the talk there was of All In being a glorified House Show and All Out getting the attention, from what I can tell All Out only has a Darby Allin TNT Title challenge and the hint of a Hobbs match so far, I'd say that would be the show that will suffer but I'd still trust them to put on a good to great show.
Don't massively think they'd want to drop the All Out name either, even with the negative connotations of Brawl Out, it was the name on arguably their best ever show in 2021.

I have a feeling there was also a hope to have a different distribution for All Out, like streaming on Max or something, that didn't pan out.
I haven't decided if I'm going to order both - All In for sure.
Maybe I'll finally look into VPNs.

Because Tk believes Punk fans will buy anything as along you stick a Punk sticker on it. All Out's gonna be an entire PPV with like ten matches on it, you do realize that right?

Because All Out is always Labor Day weekend + this is the date they could get for Wembley + I imagine they wanted it streamed on Max but couldn't get the tech lined up in time hence the pivot to PPV.

Why is the sky blue? Why is water wet? Why did Judas rat to Romans while Jesus slept?

All Out feels like a complete afterthought and I hope the US follows suit in following the more reasonable international pricing (though I wouldn't be surprised if the cable companies pushed for back to back $50 events because they're leeches). But I don't think this was something intentionally scheduled. Just the circumstances dealt.
