Same here, really enjoy this one!
Another good one like this is "Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy", which of course, is a documentary about the Nightmare on Elm St. franchise.

Same here, really enjoy this one! Another good one like this is "Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy", which of course, is a documentary about the Nightmare on Elm St. franchise. Never Sleep Again goes really deep into all 8 of the New Line movies, including the crossover Freddy vs Jason. They got almost everybody that was involved with the franchise with the exception of a few actors, namely Johnny Depp and Patricia Arquette. It's a fantastic documentary. They even talked about the AVGN episode on the NES game.

Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror on Shudder is incredible. It traces the history of black representation in horror from the beginning of film through Get Out. Actors and scholars provide the talking heads. It’s informative and entertaining. One of my favorite docs I’ve watched on any subject.

Should point out I've seen the Never sleep again doc.
Is there one on Halloween? Or Hellraiser?

Would love one on the Halloween franchise. So much to explore: the first two films, Season of the Witch, the Thorn saga, the Zombie films, and the final three films that retain everything but part 1.

Should point out I've seen the Never sleep again doc. Is there one on Halloween? Or Hellraiser? Years ago there was one for Halloween. It was called 25 Years of Terror. The issue is it's less than 90 minutes, so like His Name Was Jason it didn't go really in depth. I'd like to see a really in depth one for Scream, but there are a couple of issues with that. First is that it's still going strong, so an in depth documentary would be incomplete. The second being no Wes, if you ever listened to one of his commentaries, Wes was just one of those guys that you wanted to hear talk about his movies.

Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher film is a pretty good all-around doc. There's also a lot of good documentaries on the "video nasties" controversy on youtube. Has there ever been one on the Texas Chainsaw Massace and its impact?

Woodlands Dark And Days Bewitched: A History Of Folk Horror is a 3-hour long deep dive into the history of the sub-genre that I highly recommend.

This is always so weird to me because I actually went to a summer camp called Crystal Lake. Hilarious that nearby where I used to live, there was a trailer park named Crystal Lake which made me and my brother laugh

Has there ever been one on the Texas Chainsaw Massace and its impact? There was a TCM documentary which originally got put on one of the special editions and has since gone on every anniversary release called The Shocking Truth, can’t remember how long it runs but it’s an interesting watch
