So am I like in the minority with this? I always just found them really lazy. I'm just curious what other peoples opinions on the topic are?

If you didn't like Jerishow, or Steenerico, I don't know what to tell you.

My favorite was when Big Show and Billy Gunn told Vince they had decided to call their team “ShowGunn” and Vince said, “Quite frankly, I don’t give a damn what you call it,” and walked away.

Credit where credit is due: in 1996, the Pug teamed with Bob Holly and defeated the Smoking Gunns in a non-title match on Raw. Though the following week the Gunns got their win back by defeating Holly and Alex Pourteau. So, you win some, you lose some.

What about names where they use one word from each name separately to form a team name? Because Lethal Consequences was a great name

My favorite was when Big Show and Billy Gunn told Vince they had decided to call their team “ShowGunn” and Vince said, “Quite frankly, I don’t give a damn what you call it,” and walked away. Either could’ve worked. The Shoguns since it’s a type of Japanese warrior or The Gunn Show since it’s a term for someone showing off their muscles.

What about the early ECW tag team people were afraid to talk about: Taboo!?

If you didn't like Jerishow, or Steenerico, I don't know what to tell you. Those work (the former especially) because the syllables smushed together actually sound alike. But stuff like Laycool and ShowMiz? Just lazy.

What was the very first instance of this phenomenon? Can't think of anything less recent than mid '00s.
Instead of Strike Force / Girls in Cars... imagine 1987 tag team champs: Martana and their rivals: Smax.

I would like Matt Cardona to return to WWE under his old WWE name and team with the former Eli Drake so that they can be called Night Ryder
