Damn. After he announced retirement from deathmatch wrestling I thought he'd have a run as more traditional wrestler, seemed destined to join Chris Brookes in DDT.

I'd booked Drew a few times back in 2012/2013 for the small CCW promotion in North Wales, UK. Back then he hadn't been wrestling long but wowed the crowds with his mix of technical ability and agility.
It was a few years later that I found out he was working the deathmatch scene in Japan, and I was pretty shocked. Not only because it seemed a massive transition, but because he'd gained such a following and reputation doing it.
I'm not a fan of the full on deathmatch style, but I've watched some of his matches and followed a bit of his career, and Drew does stand out as a highlight of the scene.
I wish him well, and hope that his retirement isn't forced due to a bad injury, ailment or otherwise. I wonder if he will still be around the business in some capacity.

In true wrestling tradition somehow Drew Parker has returned.

It's been a crazy week for Drews in wrestling.
