Last night on Dynamite it's occurred to me that Christian Cage has a really bizarrely over catchphrase to the point where the crowd gave a fairly big reaction when he started saying it.
"I heard you have a father... And your father is dead!"
On paper it is the cheapest of heat, but his delivery and insistence on using it at any and all possible opportunities has made it into something of a meme among fans.
It's made me wonder, what other catchphrases that just really shouldn't have worked have gotten over?

"Your gonna get your f***ing head kicked in" back in 2005 was laughed at at first when some fan shouted it towards Bryan Danielson's opponent (it's an English football type of chant and not something you'd expect to hear at wrestling in the US), but then Bryan immediately endorsed it, got the crowd to chant it and it got over.

IIRC Slick managed to get babyface Kamala over with a “He is a man” chant. Which is quite uncomfortable given the Kamala gimmick.

Beginning and ending of this for me. It's the absolute pinnacle of a dumb meme of a catchphrase that's incredibly fun to chant along with, and theoretically, anyone could have done it, but Mr. Kennedy is the one who did it first so anyone else who ever tried would be a ripoff.
