Didn't they run Starrcade in 2019 because Cody wanted to pick up the rights to something his dad thought up and WWE engaged in a bit of trademark squatting?

They are/were advertising a Long Island house show as Saturday Night's main event so they might do other themed house shows in the future.

I think that they just started using the Saturday Night's Main Event name for Saturday night house shows IDK since they seemed to really tie it into how LI hosted the first one but I really don't care about house shows. corporate.wwe.com/investors/news/press-releases/2023/07-07-2023-170018642 if this is anything to go by not all Saturday shows are SNME |

They are all marketed as Saturday Night Main Event if its not a supershow. It's not unique. |

I've always assumed a big part of why Cody came back was to try and get some of those trademarks back. Kind of like how the rumours always were Michael Jackson married Lisa Marie Presley to get his hands on Elvis' publishing. |

I've always assumed a big part of why Cody came back was to try and get some of those trademarks back. Kind of like how the rumours always were Michael Jackson married Lisa Marie Presley to get his hands on Elvis' publishing. When Cody was still in AEW, he and WWE made an agreement with each other that Cody would let WWE trademark the old NWA/WCW event names while Cody would get the "Cody Rhodes" TM. For a long time, he just went by "Cody" on bigger indy shows and in AEW because of WWE. |
