It really doesn’t make sense when the whole story is how OC is completely exhausted and his body is falling apart.

Haaaaated it. Who needs selling or ring psychology anymore? Let’s just spam moves because we’re invincible. Garbage. Spam big movez until the match ends via rollup.

*shrug*
Pro-wrestling is full of stupid looking moves with no real-world psychology. For every headlock there's some goofball pulling a sock from his jocks and pretending it a deadly cobra.
Sit back. Enjoy a snack. Have a beverage and marvel that such a thing still exists, and is thriving, in our modern world❤️

Penta in general just overuses the Canadian Destroyer for comedy, and I'm not bothered by that in a "PROTECT THE MOVE" sense because the nature of wrestling is that moves escalate. They always have, and holding to the idea that a death move should stay a death move in perpetuity is just not viable.
The thing that I dislike about it more is that Penta really kills his aura by going ham on it, which makes me suspect that the dude really could not care less about maintaining an aura. If that's how he feels, then whatever, but it does mean that I have to settle for the Penta that is instead of the Penta that I'd wish for.

It really doesn’t make sense when the whole story is how OC is completely exhausted and his body is falling apart. But that is the point His body is falling apart, but he is going on via sheer force of will, he is forcing his body to kick out, and press on He's going full anime character lol

Hated it. If I ran a promotion there'd be a soft ban on Canadian Destroyers and cutters unless one person uses them as finishers.
They're fine just overdone, if you did a drinking game with those moves over a weekend with a lot of Wrestling you'd be getting your stomach pumped.

Didn’t irritate me as much as Hogan being woken up by Savages elbow. But god damn that was stupid.

For me, it was the context that made it stupid more than the actual spot.
Do that in the middle of Stadium Stampede and I wouldn't care. There's already skewers, barbed wire, and other crazy stuff happening. If it had happened during the Death Triangle/Elite trios matches and the two guys had then sat out for a couple of minutes while the other four did equally insane stuff, that would be fine too.
But doing it in the middle of a pretty straight-up singles match was a bad fit, IMO.

I love it, but let's be real: Wrestling is stupid as shit.
Every now and then I'll dig in and enjoy a hyper-realistic grappling contest like a Timothy Thatcher or something, but 95% of the time I want my professional wrestling to be ridiculous. If I want "srs business men having an athletic competition", the UFC exists.

i had more issues with the finish...my friend and i were cracking up so hard...OC was dumped on his head twice and had his arm broke then won with a quick roll up then gave a "im a bad man" promo. It just didn't fit for me or the character...I love what he is doing with the belt but this was just different

It made a relatively dead crowd come alive. That matters more than anything.
So I'm cool with it.

Kommander of all people kicked out of a god damn pile driver too. That was just dumb. Piledriver isn't Moxley's finish When it's not their finish, it's not their hardest hitting move. Moxley doing a piledriver is low on his ladder, and they're constantly talking about a wrestler training their necks to take these moves better in modern times.

It just didn't fit for me or the character...I love what he is doing with the belt but this was just different Cassidy did the exact same thing when he feuded with Jericho. He has a point where he can get angry and flip the switch, it's not a joke, it's done extremely well each time and it was here too He wasn't going "I'm a bad man" he literally said he was broken, but he didn't care, he was going to defend the title because it was HIS title until he couldn't anymore, and didn't care what Moxley did to him If the match didn't suit you then fine, but the entire point was to show Cassidy's not gonna go down, it's supposed to show "Oh god what's Moxley gonna have to do to keep him down?", and it's supposed to sell it as the main event of a PPV... and imo, it did all those things, but I get how much people sell or what should or shouldn't be a finish is starting to become a huge gap between a new and older gen of wrestling fans.
