Sheesh what a good match and it helped put Takeshita on a different level
A few good stories to come out of this
- Kenny Omega PPV losing streak hits 6 in a row (not counting WK)
Protect yo neck Kenny

I know Japanese wrestling schools preach building neck muscle, but the amount of times Takeshita got dropped on his head last night was insane.

Well the people who called Tekashita/Callis the new Claudio/Heyman are now silent, and thank goodness lol
Biggest win of his career and his sky is the limit for him now. Idk if the feud's done, but Takeshita can't have it taken away that he beat Kenny Omega clean on a PPV
And Omega's storyline of being on the worst losing streak of his career is gonna be fascinating to watch. Now Don can brag about being right too.

I really like Omega running into this losing streak idea without Callis to back him up; Kenny had his whole start-of-AEW broken ace storyline that found something when he and Hangman teamed, but ultimately that fizzled out and he ended up having to get with Callis to find the instinct. And that instinct got him the title. He rode it out a while, and he still had Callis with him even after turning face, which got its pretty clear payoff. And now without him, he's lost again, because in the end the man he thought rebuilt him wasn't someone he could trust.
This isn't the end of the Takeshita feud, and I think the ending point for it is goig to be a rebuilt Kenny who might be ready for another main event run.

Takeshita f***in rules. Had never heard of him until his match with hangman and that made him an instant favorite of mine. That match tonight was awesome, wasn’t expecting anything special after the banger of a strap match but I’d say omega/Takeshita was almost as good.

This guy should be a future AEW champion, that is all I have to say on Takeshita.

There's a few free Takeshita matches on Wrestleuniverse for anyone interested. Aew with Japanese commentary is weird. His match with Endo was pretty good iirc. www.wrestle-universe.com/en

As in his face-off theme or the ominous rumbling drone music? Because the latter is completely different to anyone else and helps the menacing vibe so much.
