So according to an interview with Cathy Kelly, Cena said his last match is coming soon. When will it be? And who will it be against? I think Mania 40 would be the move, 20 years after his first wrestlemania. His opponent? Maybe LA Knight?

I have a really hard time even caring about a Cena match at this point. Between how much he's been jobbed out and how he doesn't really seem to be physically capable of anything more than, "Get his ass kicked for ten minutes, tease his comeback, lose," anymore really nothing to do with his matches is actually worth seeing.

I have a really hard time even caring about a Cena match at this point. Between how much he's been jobbed out and how he doesn't really seem to be physically capable of anything more than, "Get his ass kicked for ten minutes, tease his comeback, lose," anymore really nothing to do with his matches is actually worth seeing. John Cena hasn't won a televised one-on-one match since pinning Triple H at the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. Since then he's 0-3 with losses to The Fiend, Roman Reigns, and Austin Theory. |

Cena is the perfect example of how much of a double edged sword part timers can be. He doesn’t show up often and when he does, he loses. It’s good he doesn’t show up and shine at the expense of full time talent, but now you basically just expect him to lose. So beating him doesn’t really mean much. Imagine talking to a wrestling fan in 2009 and telling them that Cena loses TOO much now.

Idk, feel like that comment was an ambiguous way of saying i have more years behind me than in front of me. Being in your 40’s now is much different than being in your 40’s 15 years ago. I think he’ll at least keep on having annual one-off’s for the time being.

Cena is the perfect example of how much of a double edged sword part timers can be. He doesn’t show up often and when he does, he loses. It’s good he doesn’t show up and shine at the expense of full time talent, but now you basically just expect him to lose. So beating him doesn’t really mean much. Imagine talking to a wrestling fan in 2009 and telling them that Cena loses TOO much now. I feel like that’s why he’s about to feud with Miz, just so he actually wins a match lol |

The way they have used Cena in his limited comebacks I mostly missed from not watching
But I remember when I did still watch and they used him in the Smackdown team where he jobbed clean, had no fanfare and didn't even wear a blue goddamn shirt. I think this was the night Raw had a clean sweep as well.
One of the all time greats and this is what they do to him. I echo the sentiments earlier about telling 2009 me that I would complain in 2023 about Cena not being protected enough being WILD
