The world of wrestling has suffered enough grief in the last few weeks to last a lifetime, I really hope Duggan is ok and pulls through this

I met Jim Duggan a few years back at a Buffalo Wild Wings. He was in town for a convention. I didn’t want to bother him while he was just out eating, so I just told him I was a fan, and he ended up just shooting the shit talking wrestling with me for well over thirty minutes.
Just a genuinely nice dude. Wish him nothing but the best.

I hope he can overcome this latest challenge like he has all of the others. I've always heard that he's a really nice guy.

I think that it was Foley that said that Hacksaw was just the nicest dude and everyone likes him. It was probably from the Doink episode of DSOTR when Doink wanted to fight him in the ring and then got in his car and left because Hacksaw was going to whoop that ass. 😂
Hacksaw is probably the only dude out there that could get a USA chant going in other countries. lol
Wishing nothing but the best. HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Hacksaw worked down this way so much I have heard so many great stories about him.
Hoping to get a chance to meet him one day. But cause of a incident close to 18 years ago Hacksaw charges more to work in MS. Or that is the story going around.
Really can't blame him if the story is true.

His wife has posted that the emergency surgery was successful and they’re going to reschedule for the benefit he was doing at the time.
Hacksaw is the man, I wish him nothing but the best.

Jim and his wife really deserve the best. It sucks how such a good guy like him has had such horrible health issues over the years, its not fair but man he is tough as anything. Keep going tough guy, everyones rooting for you Jim.

Jim is as tough as they come.
Has twice made Cancer do the J.O.B.
And hopefully will overcome this too.

Jim is as tough as they come. Has twice made Cancer do the J.O.B. And hopefully will overcome this too. I think it was three times. One and two are incredible but three!! He had the original cancer in the late 90s or 2000. This last time he rang the bell at the hospital was time three as I believe there was a second bout earlier than that.

Glad to hear the surgery was successful.
To share another "Hacksaw is a great guy" story - there was a massive blizzard in the midwest on December 23rd going into Christmas Eve in the mid-to-late 80s (can't recall the exact year). It's a huge travel day anyway, so you can imagine how a blizzard impacted those sort of delays that kept families with small children on what should be a holiday stuck at a 80s airport (at a time before airports were basically malls like they are today) with nothing to do but get frustrated.
Hacksaw, at a time when wrestlers really didn't have days off and would have been totally understandable if he tried to just find a spot to relax by himself and wait it out, decided to entertain the kids by slipping right into character, marching into the waiting areas on each terminal and giving the children an extended friendly experience to give them a little joy on what was a rough day.
My cousin Joslyn was there and she still talks about it at Christmas. I'm certain she isn't the only one. Really speaks volumes to the type of great guy Duggan has always been.

I forgot Jake and Cheryl got back together. I guess with all of the sadness in wrestling in recent times, we can still marvel that Duggan keeps on fighting thankfully, and that Jake's life is in a place that would not have seemed possible 20 years ago, when it appeared he was probably going to be one of the next to go.
