I know it’s something you pay for yourself, though you actually have to accomplish something to even get that far, but I’m surprised he hasn’t had one for decades.

Only two good things came out of my first marriage. 1.She got me into the Pixies
2.She was a huge John Waters nut and had all his films on VHS.
So sure before I met her I had heard of the early films and seen Cry Baby and Hairspray. But She had everything that was out by 91. Female trouble wass a movie I saw way way way too many times. Polyester was one of the first laserdiscs I bought.

Growing up I was always aware of him, but for some reason I never watched his work.
He was on Bill Maher's podcast a month or two ago, and he was hilarious. He had one joke about a white trash family on meth using sex toys as decorations on a Christmas tree, and I burst out laughing.

I love the Pope of Trash's work. My favorite work of his is Serial Mom, which I recommend to everyone that hasn't seen it. His star is well-deserved.
