Producer Joel Silver and Warner Bros. are moving forward with a new big screen version of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
The new film would be live-action and have the same type of look as 300. The film is being described as a "classic battle between good and evil."
Justin Marks is writing the script.

I'll watch it if Stinkor has a major role. $500.00 sez that Skeletor will look like a robot

Moss Man finally gets a chance to shine...or blend into the background.

Not to be a buzz kill but I picked up the Master of the Universe dvd set last fall and it does not hold up well. As I'm not that excited about Transformers, which had a better source materal, I can't get to existed about this.

Funny thing, I was watching the mini documentary on the He-Man dvd I have (the 10 fan picked episodes) and the writers were basically told NOT to give these guys too deep a background or give the bad guys any real morals.

Which is why, nostalgia factor aside, for more compelling stories and much richer character development, the 2002 Cartoon Network series was far more superior to that of the 80's.

The 2002 Mike Young series was AWESOME. I too bpught the Top 10 Episodes DVD, only to learn that the whole series would be released in DVD form. Ah well... it was a good childhood memory, and now I cannot wait until this movie hits the big screen.
By the Power of Grayskull...

I wanna see Fisto get his props. If only to see a guy with an obscenely giant metal fist , moustache, stripey shirt and furry underpants in a family adventure
