Be it revival/sequel/spinoff series. Or the show was on long enough to pass that future mark. And the inconsistencies that brought
Of course there’s the simpsons and several episodes that took place “in the future” which is now the past.
The earliest I think is that one about Lisa where she marries that British guy.
I’m watching saved by the bell the new class and it made me think of some things.
Saved by the bell ended with a time capsule episode about the original cast leaving a video behind for the class of 2003.
The only problem is that Mr belding left Bayside in 2000 and they renovated his office.
Also, in the new class, they make another time capsule for 2020. That would have been funny to reference in the peacock one.
I do believe that Girl meets world was set in 2015 and boy meets world had a flash forward episode that was set in 2015.
I always remember there was a time capsule episode of full house. They really should have opened that in fuller house
Dbza did a great bit about the last episode of dbz where they reference all the random stuff that should have happened in Super
I was surprised to see in power rangers now and forever (the 2023 Netflix special) they kept cannon on power rangers that Tommy ended up with Kat, since Amy Jo Johnson has been more in the public eye as far as power rangers stuff over the years and was the more popular pink ranger and Tommy and Kim is remembered as the default pairing

Wildstorm comics did this in the 90s. They did an issue 25 for each of their books which was at least a year and a half or so away. And the gimmick was that you were getting a look at the future.
Dont know how it turned put as thats when the comic industry was going through the speculator collapse. And they were never good with deadlines, long term plotting, or consistency.
Edit. Technically Marvel did this. Adam Warlock was fighting an evil church led by his insane future self. So to stop this future he travelled into a nearer future when he was near death and took his own soul. That way he could never become evil. He later rallied the Avengers to stop Thanos who had harnessed the Infinity gems (called soul gems at the time although Warlock possessed the actual Soul gem and Thanos had made an inferior copy) and was beaten to near death by Thanos. The exact scene we had seen earlier played out with past Warlock taking his own soul.

Community season 1: Britt’s Perry finally becomes owner of iPod nano in 2014.
Community season 5: pierce dies and bequeathed Britt’s an old Ipod.
Not bad for a show that technically ended the year before and the pierce character was written off due to actor disputes
