I love both of them, but I lean Addams Family Values a little because Joan Cusack is fantastic in the sequel, and because Wednesday gets more shine.

Wednesday from Values is, no joke, a childhood hero of mine.

Values is better in every way. But the first one does have this banger of a sequence

I don't like Values much at all. The humor got mean and actually violent rather than campy violent.
In Addams Family, the kids freaked out the school parents by putting on a skit where fake blood sprayed everywhere.
In Values, the kids freaked out the camp parents by putting on a skit where they tied a counseler to a pole and roasted him over a fire.

Watching them back to back now. Always preferred Values, it had some great one-liners:
“There has to be someone out there for you. Someone special. Someone who won’t press charges.”

Definitely the first one. Watched that one a lot as a kid, I liked the atmosphere and I still quote "Are They Made From Real Girl Scouts?" to this day.
Values I watched maybe two or three times in my life and I never could get into it.

The second one. Wednesday was my first crush which looking back makes me think i had problems at 8 years old.
On a side note the first game on Sega was better than the second.

Both are great, but the first one edges it.

I like both films but for some reason I prefer the second one. This is one of my favorite parts of that film.
I saw both of them in theaters, by the way.

What, no option for this one? And for the record, that's Tim Curry and Darryl Hannah as Gomez and Morticia. [Note I'm not serious about this being an option.]

Flip a coin, they're both excellent, and Raúl Juliá gives a masterclass of comedic acting in both. That was a man who understood the assignment.
