I thought Mr. Kennedy/Mr. Anderson would be one of the biggest stars in the industry. Basically up there with Cena/Orton/Batista. Oh, hey, me too. I was one of the idiots who was pegging Kennedy as the 'next Austin.' ChristOh add me to this list. I remember messaging lapsed fans saying "no you've got to come back and watch, this guy is as good as the Rock!"

I was sure Undertaker v John Cena was going to happen at Wrestlemania 26 and would be one of the biggest matches ever. People would be legit on edge that the streak might end.
There was a Raw from MSG in November 09. Taker/Cena beat DX and Jericho/Big Show then after the match Taker tombstoned Cena. I was sure that was planting the seeds for their match at Mania and they would cross paths again around Rumble time to set up that match. Instead though a month or so later at the Slammy show HBK called out Taker for a rematch and the Cena thing went nowhere.

Thinking Daniel Bryan would win the ‘15 Rumble.
Although I didn’t think Jinder belonged anywhere near the WWE title, I thought they’d at least established him enough to be a mainstay at the US/IC level following his title run.
Thought Shinsuke would get a run with the title. I suppose he could still get a WHC run, but it looks like that ship has sailed.
Thought we’d eventually see a 4-way ladder title match between Edge, Christian, Matt & Jeff. I’m still not 100% convinced they weren’t building to it, but real life made sure it didn’t happen.
It’s been mentioned, but I was on board with thinking they’d continue WCW as a legit brand.
In the early days of TNA, I thought it might, in time, rise to be a legit competitor to WWE. Probably not enough to be a real threat to their business, but at least enough to make them sweat a bit. Needless to say, it didn’t quite work out that way.
A retroactive one… I was a WCW guy for most of the Monday Night Wars, & really didn’t know much about Austin’s rise in WWF until he was pretty much the face of the company. So when I was reading about his early days in WWF as the Ringmaster, I thought, “Really? They first tried to give Austin a circus ringmaster gimmick?” (In my defense, considering he came in at the back nine of the New Gen era, would it have really shocked anyone if Vince had tried it? 😆)

I thought Triple H was gonna do the right thing and job to CM Punk at Night of Champions, therefore not making Punk's storyline all about himself.
I thought they would have had Christian finally beat Randy Orton straight up instead of just burying him in their feud.

Probably something most of us were wrong on, but I thought the WCW and ECW invasion would be the most epic story in WWF history.

Logan Paul...I wanted him to suck something fierce...Not only was I wrong...I've became a fan of some of his attributes (some parts I will never be a fan of) to the point that I think he has a HOF career waiting for him if he wants it.

Kane, huh. Yeah, pretty f***ing awesome debut. Monster-of-the-week for Taker, lasts until Wretlemania, and then gone for good.

I remember back around 2011, I was on a message board(don't remember the name, it's long since been gone) And there was a poster who was a big Jinder Mahal fan. He swore that Jinder was gonna be a world champ, and even had a sig with a shopped photo of Jinder holding the WWE title.
I remember thinking how silly that was, how I thought Jinder was going to be a midcarder at best and they would never give him the title.
All these years later, I still think about that, and how wrong I was(I know he's not been very popular with lots of the IWC, but I grew to quite like Jinder over the years)
If that Jinder fan is somewhere out there reading this, you were right all along!

CM Punk was a well meaning, if opinionated introvert who could thrive and soften if given space to breathe in a lockerroom without an odious political structure.

Nash was supposed to beat Punk i believe and thank god that didn't happened.

Probably something most of us were wrong on, but I thought the WCW and ECW invasion would be the most epic story in WWF history. Surprisingly, this is one thing I didn't get wrong. I was really sad when WCW folded and didn't trust Vince at all. Watching him bury WCW on the last Nitro turned me off of WWE for the next 8 years. Honestly, part of me was excited about what would happen, but somehow I also knew whatever happened was just going to piss me off.

I thought that Jack Gallagher & Rich Swann would've been at least high end midcard stars in the WWE & CW Division would be worth a damn.
Boy can I pick 'em!

I thought the Montreal Screwjob was going to be the deathblow for the WWF. Not only did they lose their champion but he got a ton of sympathy on the way out while Vince looked like he was rapidly losing control.
Also on the same show after watching Austin's return to the ring I felt there was no way he was going to hold up.

Oh I was very much on the Jack Gallagher train, they even let him have a memorable bit in the Rumble, I think he was the only cruiserweight in the thing. Then, even before everything came out, his heel turn just soured his run so much, he had a huge rebuilding job ahead, the ridiculous tattoo happened, then he's scum so that was a hell of a fall.
