Has Oakland been the only "big" upset so far, thanks in no small part to that screwjob on Samford?

That Samford shit makes me want to completely bail out on the rest of the Tournament
Calls like that need to be reviewed, it was a clean block and the refs were flat out wrong and they cost Samford the game
Kansas is getting slaughtered online right now, and rightfully so. What a horrible way to end a Tournament game that up to that point was really fun, just ruined everything.

Has Oakland been the only "big" upset so far, thanks in no small part to that screwjob on Samford? That could’ve been the play of the tournament if they would’ve scored off of that to win…but nope, we get a whistle. Also, they review everything all game long, why isn’t that reviewable? Especially since Samford clearly got the rebound off of the block. It’s late and I had a shitty day gambling, but I’m pissed lol

The blame for this should fall entirely on the refs. Kansas did nothing wrong here.
But if this bullshit ending doesn't lead to a rule change next season I will be stunned. Bad enough it happened here but if this situation decides a national champion? Batten down the f***ing hatches.

Has Oakland been the only "big" upset so far, thanks in no small part to that screwjob on Samford? I'd call Duquense beating BYU a decent one but yeah other than that, mundane as f*** day one

Refs totally jobbed Samford. Clean block and the Kansas player splattered himself all over the floor. Samford rebounds with like 12 seconds left on the clock, down 1 with a 5 on 4 advantage. We could have had an all-time legendary ending. This could have been on all the "highlights" of the tournament forever.
Instead... bullshit foul, bullshit free throws, bullshit ending.
Sad.

That Samford call was an all-time bad one. Really sour end to a fun day.

I mean this should have been a flagrant 4 foul! Look at how much that poor Kansas player was obliterated! I hope the check from Kansas to the refs bounces. Despicable.

11/16 correct after the first day of the tournament, but I lost one of my Final Four teams in the process. Fortunately, none of the significant day one upsets have busted my bracket.

FAU is gonna be haunted by that last possession in regulation. Tie game, 8 seconds left and it's just a casual stroll up the court.

12-5, biggest loss was Kentucky, who I had going to the Elite Eight.

The shitty thing about that call is that ppl LOVE to root for the underdog, but too often the blue bloods benefit from calls like that. It's complete misery booking. FAU is gonna be haunted by that last possession in regulation. Tie game, 8 seconds left and it's just a casual stroll up the court. Dude caught main character syndrome and imagined Dame hitting a game-winning three and being the hero. Instead, everyone is like "wtf is wrong with that guy??"

12-5, biggest loss was Kentucky, who I had going to the Elite Eight. I had an otherwise perfect first day on a bracket that has UK winning the natty. Painful.
