It's been a wild time in Turnerland this year so after seeing this I did not want it to go unseen by people that I know will respect it here.
Amazing generosity from Chris and family (please leave politics out of this)

(please leave politics out of this) Good luck, people love to preface everything they say about Jericho with "I don't like the guy personally" (because he doesn't believe everything I do). I'm not going to preface this with that because nobody cares. He has a long track record of being a genuinely decent guy who looks out for other wrestlers and goes out of his way to help people. His role in de-monopolizing the wrestling business (between the Omega match in New Japan and then frontmanning AEW) can't be understated either, the guy did all of us a huge favor with his work. And one thing's for sure, he's been a heck of a lot more selfless than CM Punk when it comes to putting anyone over. All in all, good guy.

If I had to guess, and it's simply a guess, Jericho, Cody, and Tony Khan are probably the people who have contributed the mot to various wrestling-related GFM campaigns. I can definitely see why wrestlers, in AEW or otherwise, tend to think highly of his kindness.

This is why as much of a bonehead Chris can be sometimes, I can't bring myself to truly hate him
Because the dude's heart wants to be in the right place, and this shows it definitely can be

Yeah there's really zero denying that Jericho is a good guy with his money and is willing to use his success to help a lot of people the industry hasn't been so kind to. Dude will give at the drop of a hat; there's also the Daniel Garcia GFM off the top of my head, when he was just some indie guy nobody knew. Genuinely setting an example for top guys taking care of others.

As a non-American, seeing so many donations for 'medical bills' is still always so baffling. Sort it out America

Sort it out America Which just highlights what these guys do for a living next to the fact that the majority of wrestlers cover the medical expenses out of pocket. I can also imagine those deductibles are crazy too.

Chris Jericho deserves a lot of credit for being willing to help out other people who need help. Sometimes he can rub people the wrong way but you can tell that he has a good heart.

Has Chris Jericho colorized the moon like Ted Turner?

I hope he’s been working hard on his fourth book (I will skip the Fozzy chapters again) it will cover the feuds with Wyatt and Ambrose, the List and KO team/feud, his fall out with Vince over that years mania, return to NJPW, appearance at All In 1, start of the cruises and will probably end with his surprise AEW press conference appearance in 2019 - has the potential to be his best one.
Book 5 which will cover AEW and Jericho’s take on muffingate and other AEW controversies will probably get published sometime in the 2030s too.

Jericho's a good dude, that's the real List of Jericho. I'm pretty sure he also helped out Perry Saturn at one point which is missing from that list. The Bret Como one caught my eye as I always remember that name from his first book - an old friend in his starting days who was the first guy he saw do a shooting star press possibly even pre-Liger. Kind of surprised he never got a cameo run in AEW like Luther.

Chris Jericho, top lad. The Bret Como one caught my eye as I always remember that name from his first book - an old friend in his starting days who was the first guy he saw do a shooting star press possibly even pre-Liger. Kind of surprised he never got a cameo run in AEW like Luther. There's a fair few of his matches online, he's worth checking out. Surprising he never got a Cruiserweight run in WCW in the nineties, especially with his connections. Or even a shot in ECW come to think of it.

He's carny and a lot of what he says makes me roll my eyes but none of those things make him a bad guy. I have no idea where this idea came from anyway.

It's great that there are guys like him and Mox who are so willing to help other wrestlers, unlike certain guys who think they got where they're at completely on their own and push some bootstraps BS.

Yeah, I think Jericho is the ultimate "a land of contrasts" guy. I think he probably believes some things I'd roll my eyes at but is probably largely just a generally well-meaning doofus, which ain't so bad for a pro wrestler in his 50s. He's definitely a scheming backstage dirtsheets guy, but he's also so obvious about it when he's a source that it's kind of endearing, as is his commitment to working the fans in largely harmless ways. He gloms on to hot young acts these days and sometimes hurts them, but he's usually coming at it from genuinely creative angle and has done wonders for people like Garcia. He probably believes a lot of his own nonsense but also his nonsense is very funny, and he's got the body of work, multiple truly remarkable comebacks and reinventions, and late career peaks to back it all up somehow.
There are times when I just shake my head at him and want him to take a break, but he's fully capable of turning it around at the drop of a hat and realizing he needs to course correct. He was at maybe a low back in WWE when he suddenly realized it and created the List of Jericho version of himself that led to what I think is maybe his best run period. And it's easy to forget sometimes, but pandemic-era Jericho with his filmed segments and work on commentary was him putting AEW on his back when he was maybe the only person in wrestling savvy enough to figure out how to make it through such an unexpected landscape.
In his own way, putting it all together, there's a case to be made the Jericho is the MOST pro wrestler of all time in all the good and bad ways, and I think whenever he calls it, we'll all pause and get back to that place a few years ago where we realized he was somehow putting together a case for an all-time great.
Also, "Chris Jericho and his Charitable Donations" should be the name of his next stable.

Yeah, whenever there's a Go Fund Me for a wrestler, you'll find Jericho in the top donors list. As someone else mentioned, Tony Khan and Cody Rhodes are usually in there as well.
IMO, it's a great use of money. Split a chunk of money amongst Go Fund Me collections and you'll change multiple lives.
Jericho has also gone out on a limb in the past to defend Nyla and other members of the AEW roster against harrassment. He's a complicated character, to say the least.
