WWE championships were won by three wrestlers I flat out did not care for and Terry Funk died.
Terrible day.

October 14th so my biggest birthday wrestling memory is in 2010, going from "I'll watch this episode of Impact with some booze and have a fine time before my actual weekend party stuff" to going through most of the bottle myself because I'd just witnessed one of the most awe-inspiringly bad episode of wrestling television ever. An episode with six minutes of wrestling in the confines of the actual show, where it took until quarter six for that first match to happen, and for it to be a 20 second squash when it did. It was unbelievable. I've yet to see anything like it in the thirteen years since.

Two SummerSlams fell on that day: 1991 and 2007.
First episode of Smackdown
The end of the Hardcore Title
Brie Bella made her TV debut, and I was there! When the ring announcer introduced Victoria’s opponent that night, I remember thinking “who the heck is Brie Bella?”

Feb 22nd doesn't really have anything spectacular, so here's the highlights I guess:
- Jumbo Tsuruta winning the AWA World Heavyweight Title from Nick Bockwinckle (1984) - Hulk Hogan's return and first appearence on Monday Night RAW (1993) - Superbrawl VIII (1998)

Bruno Sammartino defeated Buddy Rogers to become the second ever WWWF World champion and went on to hold it for 2800+ days, a record we can only hope will never be broken.
Second place is likely the 1993 episode of Raw where The Kid upset Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty returned and won the IC title from Shawn Michaels.

One of the most jaw dropping moment in Monday Night Raw history took place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At the start of the show Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko appeared in the front row as ‘guests’ of WWE General Manager Mick Foley. The four superstars had recently been granted their release by WCW at their request. It marked the single biggest talent exodus at any point during the Monday Night Wars. The Radicalz (As they were soon dubbed) ran in during a match between The New Age Outlaws (Billy Gunn and Road Dogg) and Head Cheese (Al Snow and Steve Blackman)

WWF Backlash 2002. The last WWE PPV under the WWF name. Hogan won the Undisupted Championship and I deeply regret staying up to watch it.
