Andrade has always been a favorite of mine, but that's entirely on him. You can't really push a guy who has made it so clear that he finds the company beneath him and has apparently been actively trying to get fired for like 80% of his time on the roster. I think Muffingate really lessened TK's willingness to let people suffer zero consequences for their actions, and Andrade's status in the company has suffered because of it. It felt like Andrade was never going to get anything going before he started to dislike the place. The Sammy Guevara stuff and everything after made it worse so I get it now but yeah, I never bought AEW doing anything of note with him. I agree to an extent...Andrade, Miro, and Malakai Black have all been victims of AEW seemingly hiring them simply for the sake of hiring them after their WWE releases, with no real plans of what to do with them. When Andrade is featured and motivated, he's one of AEW's best wrestlers. It just seems that he's not often motivated and this leads to him being not often featured. If reports are to be believed, he's got like 3+ years left on his AEW contract, so I'm hoping they manage to work it out, because there's no reason he shouldn't at least be featured on television weekly and in contention for the International Title. He's only 33 and it feels like his prime has been wasted so far by both WWE and AEW, to me.

Andrade seemed to mentally tap out of AEW after they (rightfully) changed their minds about bringing Ric Flair in. Remember that? When all of the reports were saying Andrade was angling to get Flair in, it was almost a done deal, and then the Dark Side of the Ring episode dropped? I mean obviously AEW needs more old guys who can't stop pulling their dicks out.

In fairness apparently Miro is a bit of an asshole to deal with, literally declining idea after idea they pitch to him.

I think he's been out now cause of an injury, and Miro has turned down so many ideas and it literally took them bringing CJ in to finally get him to agree to angles. I do think they didn't really have an idea of what to do with Andrade though.

I just kind of felt like, in that era, AEW ended up with a glut of talent all at once and struggled somewhat to figure out how to use all of it. Ethan Page is another major example of that for me.

Miro I think they did a pretty good job with up until he lost the TNT title and (I think?) got injured. That's when the struggles started. Malakai lost a big part of his aura after the Obligatory Cody Feud when Cody had to get his win back, and then he had his personal struggles. I like the House of Black, though.
Miro, Malakai, and Andrade all coming in as hot free agents and also heels hurt a bit, too. One of them, probably Malakai, should've been a face.

Yeah Ego got screwed when they decided to nix the firm as they were clearly building Ego to be the one to dethrone OC originally... hell they even said it in the Firm's first promo. But the moment they nixed the firm it felt like Ego got screwed the most... and not sure why.

I love its product as much as I've loved any product in my entire time as a wrestling fan, but people like Ego and Athena being chained to an inaccessible version of ROH that no one really watches is infuriating.

Fave thing Andrade has done in AEW has to be after losing to Jay White, lying there while Juice Robinson cocked his leg and pretended he was a dog taking a piss all over El Idolo.

From everything I've heard at least with Athena she's viewed as the draw for ROH right now which is why she's been exclusive. Not entirely fair, but they do see value in her. Ego I kind of think is a case of getting him away from the stink that was that Hardy angle

I just one one trios match where we get RUSH, Andrade and Naito on the same team. Put them against The Elite at Forbidden Door or something. Give us just one.

Did they ever finish the thing with him and Bullet Club Gold? More or less him beating Juice seemed to be the end of it Andrade's been in this weird space where he's been feuding with factions, but the cap of the feud is beating someone other than the leader (Buddy in the Ladder Match, and Juice Robinson) Remains to be seen if he's involved in this LFI return though

If there is any truth to one of those "ideas" being to randomly get squashed by Hobbs on a PPV with no build-up when both were heels, I can't say I fault him for that one in particular. This was well before they did eventually have a great match, but when Hobbs I think was still feuding with Starks or the like.

Putting him back in the faction would involve doing something with Andrade, which doesn't seem to be in AEW's plans. Hey now, he did throw a woman off a ladder
