Kind of weird he never brought it up or interacted with them

He hasn't been since he got suspended over the Sammy incident. RUSH just kinda took over the faction
They could potentially feud over that, though

It's 2023's "why isn't Cody in The Elite anymore?"

Putting him back in the faction would involve doing something with Andrade, which doesn't seem to be in AEW's plans.

Maybe it's just me, but Rush is such a better fit for the leader of the stable. He has that unhinged vibe about him that fits the gimmick better. I don't want him to be second fiddle to Andrade, either. IMO, he's better than Andrade.

Andrade is still weird to me... dude's always had potential... but either can't, won't or just flat out doesn't want to live up to it fully.
Only showing a glimpse of it occasionally.

I have long been under the impression that AEW has decided to use Andrade cause he's good in the ring but they don't want to commit to angles cause he's unreliable

Andrade has always been a favorite of mine, but that's entirely on him. You can't really push a guy who has made it so clear that he finds the company beneath him and has apparently been actively trying to get fired for like 80% of his time on the roster. I think Muffingate really lessened TK's willingness to let people suffer zero consequences for their actions, and Andrade's status in the company has suffered because of it.

RUSH was on paternity leave. And Preston and Dralistico were fighting ninjas and goons in Mexico.

Personally I think a lot of his issues are an Andrade problem...he didn't get over in NXT, he didn't get over in WWE he didn't get over in AEW...but Rush comes in and gets over in roughly 3 seconds. Andrade is a super gifted in ring talent and has the size to be realistic as a top performer but he is just missing something and that something is something Rush has.

It felt like Andrade was never going to get anything going before he started to dislike the place. The Sammy Guevara stuff and everything after made it worse so I get it now but yeah, I never bought AEW doing anything of note with him.

Andrade having these problems in both WWE and AEW make me think it's more of a "him" thing. Though the obligatory Cody feud out the gate did him zero favors.

Andrade seemed to mentally tap out of AEW after they (rightfully) changed their minds about bringing Ric Flair in. Remember that? When all of the reports were saying Andrade was angling to get Flair in, it was almost a done deal, and then the Dark Side of the Ring episode dropped?
