Good bounceback number with Dynamite back on its regular night.

This past week has blessed me with revelations and insight that I have never possessed before, a realization now of truths waiting in plain sight about the nature of existence and of All Elite Wrestling itself. I have endured a tribulation in no small part due to these wretched 'ratings threads' and felt the brush of the scissor blade against the string of my own life, plucked and drawn by the Moirai, but I yet live, and still stand now here today to boast of my existence, and of the intervention of fate that spared me my end. The insight I have seen from this brush with death is the inevitability with which AEW shall meet this same fate, that Atropos shall draw her scissors once more, and when it is AEW's time, there will be no intervention. No moment of mercy. Though I survived, All Elite Wrestling shall not. Fortune shall not bless AEW with a reprieve from the cold hands of fate that already grab at its legs and seek to drag it below. Its destiny is in motion and the awaiting truths for what Tony Khan hath wrought is a cold one. I return from the brink of extinction only more certain that the strength within me to avoid its fate is one not possessed by AEW, and sit watching the days go by as its existence continues to dangle on the end of a string drawn longer and thinner with each passing moment.

A Million lead in for the first time in awhile, and a big number bounceback on the overrun which should just be a normal thing at this point, TBS/Warner has to see it does really good numbers for them when they allow it
All that talk about AEW losing or being dead in the water after losing to NXT not on their regular night in some shitty circles, this was a good way to bounce back with good competition against it and shut that up.
You want momentum as the PPV starts to get closer, and it's looking like they're getting some!

Jay White SINGLE HANDEDLY is the reason why so many people tuned into Dynamite. You're welcome!

Yeah, the main should have either been Sting (preferably) or the Omega match (he's done good numbers in the main before)

I get WHY it was the main given it's your world champions program
The issue with it was it was predictable and the story called for no one else but Juice realistically winning
I honestly thought this would open the show, as most AEW Battle Royals do, but I can't be mad about giving Juice a Main Event W

Jay White: not only did he single-handedly sell out Madison Square Garden and the United Center, his match got Dynamite a milly.

The BR should have opened the show imo.

We've had so many battle royals in the last year, I'm not surprised that people turned off. I used to like them, but now I can't stand them due to how regular Tony does them.

Also not a lot of people in the BR had much momentum anyway.
Only Juice and MAYBE Caster felt like thru were really positioned to win.

Under a million again. AEL! Adam Copeland appearing on another show under a million...eek! Seriously though great numbers and I am glad to see the numbers plus attendance slowly rising and prices lower and we push into qtr 4.

I think a battle royal is fine to main event, but telegraphing who was winning both angle wise and having a bunch of people doing nothing made it an easy skip

I think a battle royal is fine to main event, but telegraphing who was winning both angle wise and having a bunch of people doing nothing made it an easy skip AEW actually does this quite a bit- set up a challenger for a title but then make them go through a battle royal or torunament anyway, resulting in painfully obvious matches. The most recent example before this battle royal being everyone knowing the Grand Slam eliminator tournament would come down to Joe and Roddy; and there's loads of others too.

Yeah, like there was zero drama or intrigue going to that battle royal. Normally, I don't mind when a result of the match is telegraphed as long as it's a good match. But battle royals aren't exactly 5 star classics most of the time. The fun in them is usually the crazy spots in the chaos and wondering who actually wins. This one didn't really have either since it was really obvious Juice was going to win.
