This weekend is Twin Cities Con here in Minneapolis and I got to speak with the great Sean Waltman aka X-Pac aka Syxx aka The 1-2-3 Kid aka The Lightning Kid all about his memories here in his hometown, the matches he's proud of that he wishes were more well known, his favorite entrance music he's ever had and more!
Check it out -

He's getting a little more love nowadays it seems like but Waltman has to go down as one of the more underrated talents of his era. If not one of the top ones. He was the measuring stick for new guys coming into New York during the New Generation era. If you couldn't have a good match with him, you didn't move up the card. Simple as that.
Always came across as a very sincere and level headed dude. I'll never forget that episode of Opie and Anthony he was on where the called Chyna, and you could really see the kind of man Waltman was even back then.
If he'd broken in the biz in the 2000's as opposed to the 90's during the time of all the body guys he'd probably be a multi time world champion across whatever companies were active. Imagine him coming in with the class of the guys in ROH, IWA-MS, and CZW. Arguably he got more spotlight being part of the MNW but I bet we could've seen some awesome workrate stuff from him in that alternate timeline.
Huge fan.

I think its because while his pass he was very problematic. He got himself cleaned up and admitted to how bad he was. Kind of like Scott Hall who again finally got help and clean. Ever since he been so humble and grateful about everything and his fans. Now days he just in good spirts and laid back. Loves meeting fans. Good interview.
