Question... Which songs, despite being played regularly, do you not get tired of? I'd put Darlene Love and "Christmas Baby Please Come Home" up there. If you don't know why, you're not Rockin' Ricky fans. Honestly most of them I’m fine with in isolation. The ones I’m really sick of are Mariah Carey, Wizard, Slade & anything by Michael Buble.

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

Hot take: Taylor Swift's version of Last Christmas is superior to Wham's version.

I've noticed they don't play "Fairy Tale in New York" on the Radio anymore. Guess they finally realised they weren't singing about Meatballs. I don't think I ever heard that song! Maybe the latter part is why. Its definitely the F-slur. Easily my favorite xmas song lol

OK I mentioned my Mariah thing earlier. Don't think I ever heard 2 and 3. Michael, Frank, Dean, and a bunch of other old-timey-sounding male singers tend to blend together. Another that appears often that I never tire of is anything Percy Faith. Some of Mannheim Steamroller too.

Hot take: Taylor Swift's version of Last Christmas is superior to Wham's version. Hotter take: all versions of Last Christmas suck. This is in my overplayed list. Not bad, just annoyed by all the times I hear it. Plus there's the irony of George dying on Christmas. Another "unfair" slagging example from me: anything by the Carpenters. They're not bad renditions, I just get sad thinking about Karen. (Then there's Richard who makes me mad for a few reasons) I don't get annoyed/bored by the Beach Boys, because of nostalgia as I grew up with their album, back when my mom had it on vinyl. Same with Anne Murray...well, you hear like two of her songs regularly, but not frequently. There's a lot more, even better holiday recordings. First, I LOVE Anne in general. Second, my grandmother loved her Christmas album too. Now...how about songs you don't hear enough? They're in the rotation on our local stations, but Snoopy's Christmas I go bonkers for...yet I have to wait for it more than most. And nowadays it seems like Madonna's and Swift's are played more often than Eartha Kitt's Santa Baby, unfortunately.

As far as Christmas songs I don't get tired of, I'm not sure how many count because I pretty much just listen to internet radio or spotify for Christmas music. Bing Crosby is up there. The upside of not really listening to standard radio is I still enjoy Mariah Carey's fare.
As far as holiday tunes though, the most recent one I found that I can't get enough of is Valhalleluja by NanowaR of Steel.

Don’t imagine those songs took off in the US or maybe anywhere else I don’t know.

Not to be cliché but more than anything else, I despise Mariah Carey’s Christmas songs with a passion. What’s the first thing I hear, thanks to my wife, on November 1? Yup. That’s grounds for divorce.

That’s grounds for divorce. It was kinda fun when she leaned into being a meme a bit. Now, I'm hearing her advertised as the "Queen of Christmas". Yeah, f*** that nonsense

The perfect song to use when fooling burglars that you're not home alone.

So I like them in part because they aren't something I hear every day on the radio! For anyone unfamiliar wondering

Ever want a 10 minute long christmas rock song about the forbidden love between Santa's son and Frosty the Snowman's daughter? YOU'RE IN LUCK!

Last one for a bit. I may be an aficionado of odd Christmas songs.
Explicit language obviously

The instrumental of Sleigh Ride that most of us know is another I don't tire of.
As for a "lost" song nowadays, I always liked...
Who's singing with her?
