I thought that it was LONG overdue. To me, once Randy Orton (during his legend killer character) couldn't end it, it was another old timer who refused to give up his spot. There was enough of that on the show already. I wasn't watching WrestleMania, but got a text saying Taker's streak was over and I couldn't have cared less by that point.

Here's what I said about it the next day. Admittedly, I didn't know the Undertaker was concussed early in the match, but the majority of the points stand.
For what it's worth, I still think they made the right decision having Brock Lesnar end the Streak. He carried that into becoming this unstoppable goliath for a solid five or six years, and any time someone fought him - or beat him - it made them an instant, long-term main eventer (Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre to name a few).

I was watching 15 mins behind, because we had to pause the broadcast for whatever reason. I had it spoiled on Facebook for me, while I saw Taker making his entrance Still pretty upset about that.

I went back and looked at my posts from the day it happened. That was a fun exercise. My thoughts from being here then:
During the Match
Immediately After the Pin
Post-Match
With the benefit of hindsight, I get why they broke the streak and I don't think I would have given it to Roman at Mania 30 or 31 because it probably would have made it even harder for him to get over as a babyface at the time.

I get why they did it, and I'm okay with it, but there's a part of me that will always wish they'd have let Taker retire with the Streak remaining intact.
Though I will say that if anything, Lesnar winning gave us what I'd call two of the greatest visuals in modern wrestling history: the reactions of Heyman and that fan in the audience.

It's a good example to show that concussions aren't always super obvious.

I got spoiled on the result as I was coming from home work and the WWE app mentioned the Streak was over as I was getting on the train.
As for the match itself, it was clunky because Taker got his bell rung but the fans looked like they were just waiting for Taker to win and move on with the card.
I probably would have given that spot to Roman and have him turn heel the night after like they teased in 2017.

They had great matches at Summerslam and Hell in a Cell the following year so the match being so boring until the finish you'd have to think was due to Taker getting hurt early on.
The crowd didn't seem to care at all though. Deep down I don't think anyone thought HHH/HBK/Punk/Batista were going to win either but the crowd bought in live which created electric atmospheres for those streak matches. This one though Taker was kicking out of F5s to near silence. In a way that made it even more shocking though when he didn't kick out of the final one.
At the time I remember not liking the result. I wasn't a massive Taker fan but I liked the idea of the streak being this mythical thing that should never end. Even after he retired and even died it would always be this iconic shadow over Wrestlemania that was never broken. Now though I'm fine with it. It made Brock a monster heel for years and in reality Taker being probably the greatest wrestling gimmick ever means more to his legacy than never losing a match at Mania.
