they have allegedly hated each other forever... It happens, like The Kinks having the success that they did all while Ray and Dave Davies had issues, and Dave getting f***ed up royally by the drummer during a concert once and needing 16 stitches. People who work together professionally might have chemistry there that doesn't translate into friendship, or which puts pressure on the personal side of the relationship. I mean the Oasis brothers have openly despised each other publicly. One of their fights was recorded and charted in England even ...

Penn Jillette has spoken a lot about how he and Teller get along. He says they are not friends. They’re business partners. The show is the most important thing. They don’t socialize outside of work and have very separate lives. He says all that and then says “By any measure, Teller is my best friend”

U2 still being together with the exact same lineup after 40 years is mind-boggling.

Hall letting Oates know he'll make sure the order doesn't get broken: "Private eyes, they're watching you..."

I think it's easy to think bands are like The Monkees and all hang out together all the time and get into wacky adventures.

Funny thing is how everyone thought Paul McCartney and John Lennon always hated each other. And while things were really heated between them for awhile, they reconciled after the Beatles broke up. They were best friends until John's death.

Must be so uncomfortable in these recording sessions when the people start fighting. Like being at the dinner table as a kid when mommy and daddy start arguing.

Speaking of these situations, the other night The Brian Jonestown Massacre ended up in an all out brawl on stage.

That one's also sort of weird in that it isn't like it was a distaste thing so much as them just not having a ton of shared interests outside of work, and that they also could often intuit what the other one wanted without really even needing to say much. You also have the issue of, if they are together in public, people recognize them far more frequently, so even if they did want to hang out, it's just asking to get mobbed.

Right, which is why Jamie suggested Adam to begin with for the show, I think. They knew one another and had worked together on projects, but Jamie knows he's not a dynamic onscreen personality, and that Adam is more charismatic. They also just have different approaches to things, so they complimented one another. Still, not too shocking they'd not really click on a personal level given those same differences, along with Jamie being older than him and for all intents and purposes his boss on Mythbusters.

They were best friends until John's death. You could say that about some rap groups, too. For example, when talking about Geto Boys, it was known that Willie D and Bushwick Bill (RIP) did not get along. Willie D mentioned a lot of that in an interview with DJ Vlad, but it seems Willie D and Scarface are cool enough that they have a podcast together. I don't know what Scarface's relationship with Bushwick Bill was like, though. Also, I read an article about the stuff with Hall & Oates. It seems that they were friends a long time ago, but over the years, things have gotten heated between the two. It seems it has more to do with creative differences than anything.

Ah. I will say I do despise the recent trend of artists selling their catalogues to these big companies. Those companies just wanna use it so they can sue current artists for BS reasons. Go Hall!
